"Right. And Pen, if you happen to get the overwhelming desire to punch one of the nurses or doctors, save it for later and I'll let you punch me instead okay? Because if you do hit one of them you know they're not going to let you out of the hospital without a full checkup, physical and mental. And the headmaster would probably get involved too so... just save us all the trouble and hold in your frustrations okay?" The gryphon smiled and opened the door, walking in and greeting the first nurse he saw.

"My friend here hurt his wrist a little, can you take a quick look, see if he just needs some bandages or a splint?"

"Sure thing. This'll only take a moment but depending on how bad it's hurt it might sting okay? Hmm, bit of swelling, happened a while ago and just now getting in here?"

"Yeah, kinda halfway between school and town so it wasn't like we could get here minutes after he hurt it."

Pen just glared slightly at the boy as he spoke. He would love to see the doctors try to make him take a mental check up. However he did not have fighting on his mind right now. What was on his mind was much worse. You see pen was angry enough to where if he did attack anyone he would try to kill them. Good thing pen was more concerned with getting his hand fixed then any of that though. Though that did not mean that he would not take the boy up on his offer though. He smiled at the boy and said “ hehe no smart to offer that kind of deal to a monster. But I am not concerned with hitting anyone unless they hurt me. And I would love to see them try and keep me here.” pen stated this in a dark to the point sort of tone. He then walked behind the not glaring at the nurse as the boy spoke to her. He was trying to make sure that she was not going to try anything funny. Pen had a reason not to like doctors . They always tried to force him to change. They wanted him to leave his other side in pace. And that was something pen could never do. He watched her as she took a look at his hand. He gave a cringe as she touched it. his wrist really hurt right now. He did not really like to show pain. Right now though he did not care. He gave a darker look gripping his free hand against is leg. Yeah he was getting mad. But he was not going to attack the nurse. No he would save that for another time. He would make some one else pay for that when he got better.

"Okay, I want you to start off by putting some ice on it to bring down the swelling. Then you're going to wrap it and keep it still for a while, avoid hitting your hand on anything too. Then if it still bothers you, try a heat wrap or come back here. It doesn't look bad but it's hard to say exactly with the swelling. I'll show you how to wrap it."

Aubri watched carefully and had the nurse demonstrate on him instead of Pen. He was pretty sure he'd be able to handle it, and she gave them an ice pack to use. Hopefully the darker half wasn't too upset, at least the nurse wasn't asking him to take any tests or medicine. "Thanks, think we can manage from here. Hopefully won't have to make a return trip." The gryphon waved and started toward the door hoping Pen would follow and at least put some distance between themselves and the hospital wing before complaining again.

Pen just glared at the nurse as she spoke. He did not have any intentions on coming back here. Though he just grinned darkly as she contained to speak. Well she was pretty but she was still a doctor and they wren evil no matter what. He half way watched as she showed the griffin how to bandage up a wrist. Well that was not too bad. At least he would get well. He walked behind the griffin. As soon as they got out of ear shot. He hit the griffin hard on the shoulder “ and that was for suggesting that we fly. I now hate you even more you stupid freak of nature. You are lucky that I do not kill you !” growled pen shouting the last part. That made several females who were walking by look at him oddly . “ that goes for you bitches as well” he snorted. That made them walk faster away from him. He then glared back at the boy. He did not care if that were to upset the boy. All he wanted was to get his anger off his chest. So he focused it on the boy. Now depending on how he reacted pen may just be done with him for now

"Heh, be glad you didn't hit me with your injured hand then. So why don't you like flying? Not the best at it so you don't want to let anyone see you in something you don't consider your element? Go ahead, give me another quick hit for dragging you to the hospital wing too. Get it all out of your system now in case there's a bunch of people at the gym or security walks by or anything." Aubri rubbed the area he just got punched in, smiling. If he had put that kind of effort into the arm wrestling he never would have wound up injured in the first place. The only comment that actually came close to bothering the gryphon was the whole "freak of nature" part. Well, in a way he was but he knew there were far more... unique students around the school.

Pen glared at the boy as he spoke. The only reason pen was upset over flying was the fact that he had gotten hurt. But of course he was not going to tell the boy that . No more then likely he would just give him some lie instead of a true answer. That was just the way pen operated for the most part. He smiled when he saw the griffin rubbing his arm. For some reason he found that funny. So he started to laugh. It was the kind of laugh you heard from someone who was … not quiet right in te head. But that was just what pen happened to be. Not right in the head. He then looked at the boy with a sick sort of smile on his face. “ I am not a fool. I would never do anything that would hurt me. However I do not have any problem hurting you. I do not like to look like a fool. That is what they make people like you for chubs. Hehe you want me to hit you again. Well I can do that . I am not worried about them. They can think of me however they want. I am sure that by this time everyone knows that I am a monster. ” he said with a smile. He then smacked the boy on the arm again. This time though he spread out his claws so that he could sink them in to him. He wanted to make sure that the boy did not want him to hit him again.

Now he knew Pen was getting serious, and hopefully got all of his frustrations out. "That's better, good to see you putting effort into something, heh. I'd prefer it not be slicing me up but still. Maybe you are a monster but your other half isn't, and I still somehow think you're both cool to hang out with. So come on let's get to the gym already, and start icing your hand like the nurse suggested." Aubri was pretty sure he knew where the line was that he didn't want to tease Pen into crossing, but he also had to admit he wanted the two sides to both feel good when they were hanging out. If it meant taking a scratch or two he didn't mind, wasn't much worse than what he got when one of his friends was a little overzealous in showing affection.

Pen gave the boy a strange look as he spoke. The kid was really testing his resolve. However pen was no longer as angry as he was before. He would have been more then happy though to keep on hurting the boy. But he had his hand to worry about right now “ hehe I always put my full effort in to things. It just that there are things that I simply do not care about…… of course you think I am a monster everyone dose. But the fact that you say that I am cool to hang out with contradicts this. But at any rate you still must deal with me in order to deal with him. Yes lets go get my hand fixed so I can beat you with it latter.” pen said in a treating tone. He could not under stand for the life of him why the boy wanted to be so kind to him. Maybe he was wrong about the boy. Or maybe the boy was trying anger him even more. Pen gave a soft hiss at that thought. If the boy was not careful he would find out just why pension feared his other side. For the line that pen had in his mind was an ever changing one. Pen had a bad habit of killing those who bothered him too much. But of course aubri did not know this about pen though he was sure to find it out soon.

"It's easy to lose sight, just taking one view on the world instead of having an open mind. And you have a pretty dark view, it's oddly kind of refreshing. That's part of why I like you Pen, you're not afraid to insult the obvious or take cheap shots when they're offered. And once in a while even the good people have to do that. Heh, we'll see if you beat me or not but first get that hand all better."
Aubri smiled as they walked toward the gym and hoped his words actually gave Pen a sort of answer on why he'd be willing to hang out with him. He wasn't the kind to want to do bad things but there were bad things and then there were BAD things like killing someone. Giving a few insults to someone that could take them and laugh it off or throw just as many back, that wasn't exactly nice but it wasn't horrible. Besides he really enjoyed hanging out with Pension too, so he'd get to know and like both sides. Even if one side might want to kill him once in a while.

Pen gave a slight frown at the boy as he spoke. hum pen had never thought about it rapt way. But he pretty well liked the path that he was taking right now so he was not going to try to change that any time soon. Though the boy saying that he liked pen made him snort a little. How could the boy like a monster like him. The answer in pens mind was that he could not and was lying to try and get him to drop his guard so that he could attack him. Well pen was not about to do that. “ you think that my view point is refreshing. Well I just see the world for what it truly is. There is nothing good here. Every one is out to get you one way or another. So what you have to do is be on top so that they can not hurt you. That is how I have gotten so far in life. And why my other half is not dead. I protect him from those who wish to harm him. Heh you want to know something. I kind of like you too. But I get the feeling that you would not like me much if you ever learned about all my nasty little habits. But yes we must fix this hand before we do anything. Actually when you go to fix it I will let my other half out again. I am to pretty for pain you see.” pen stated . He just in his own odd way told the boy that he was afraid of pain. Though if the boy were to try to use that against him he would try to harm him so that he would never do that again.

"Heh, maybe some day we'll see about that. So, you think the headmaster here's out to get everyone too? And keep that ice pack on your hand, looks like the swelling's starting to go down a bit. We're almost at the gym." Aubri smiled as he once again held the door open for Pen. In a way it was both a friendly and a mocking gesture, friendly because it was common courtesy and mocking thanks to Pen's own pride and injured wrist. "Too pretty for pain? Heh, yeah, I can see that." While he could be insulting he could also be flattering to the darker half. The only shame the gryphon felt was that it would take so long and so much effort to prove he was already friends with Pen. Oh well, eventually the darker side would come around.
