Pension snapped out of his thoughts as he heard the boy ask his question. When ever he got hurt he usaly took care of it himself. However if his bones ever got broken he had to suffer threw it untill it healed. And with pen around it took longer then it had to. Pen more then likely would not let the boy help them. In his mind there was not nothing that he could not handle. Pension though would let him help if he needed it .” yeah he pretty well hates them. Well I know how to fix little things but that is about it.” he said. He looked at his hand now as he walked behind the boy. It looked to him like it was swelling up a little bit. But that may be just him though. Pension was pretty paranoid when it came to being hurt . That came from the fact that when ever he was hurt it wAs usally pretty bad.

"Then let's hope that hand of yours isn't hurt too bad. I wouldn't think it is but I didn't see how hard you hit it on the landing so can't be sure. We'll be at the school soon enough though, get a chance to see what they say and get bandages." The school would probably have plenty of things they could spare, better than going to a pharmacy and having to pay for it all at least. Not that the gryphon was in any sort of financial trouble, and even if he had been his one very close friend was kinda loaded. Money never mattered much to him, but he wondered if Pension had that same kind of feeling or if he was one that was always low or high on cash and wanted it to be the other way.

Pension smiled as he walked behind the boy. He was trying not to think too much about his hand . It was not that he was not worried about it . It was just that he did not want to worry himself about it. Though he did not say it he really did not want the boy to worry too much about it either. He did not like for others to worry about him. It made him feel like he was not strong enough to take care of himself or something. Perhaps this came from the fact that he had been abandoned in the past. He could never say for sure. “ I hope it is alright. I do not think that I hit that hard. But I really can not be sure. Yeah that is right.” he said with a smile. Money did not matter to pension. He had lived on the streets for so long that he had learned to live on no money . Though most of that meant stealing whatever he needed. Though he did not like it he had to survive. Right now the old couple as he called him gave him money so that he would stay away from them. Or at least pen would. They were some who could not handle his other half unless they tried to beat him. Even that did not work completely as pen had a nasty habit of going in to a rage at anyone who thought that they could control him. It did not help that they called him a monster . That just made pen want to prove them right. Pension smiled as he tried to hide his pain from they boy. It seemed that the more he tried to move his wrist the more it started to cause him pain.

The gryphon smiled to himself as he felt a sort of minor victory. At least Pen was going to allow the visit to the hospital wing, he might not like being confronted by the staff there but it was necessary to get what they needed. And the gryphon was more than willing to help bandage up Pension's hand and wrist, at least as best he could. "So you wanna do anything else today after treating your hand or should we call it a day? Still not too late if you want to do something around the school I guess, unless you've got early classes and need some sleep and study time?" But what else was there to do that Pen wouldn't complain about or would actually be worth doing at this time? He was sure there had to be a few things but once again he was leaving it up to Pension to decide.

Pension walked behind the boy still. He could hear his other half telling him that he was not about to allow anyone to do anything to him. Pension just frowned and asked if why that was. His response to this was that he did not trust anyone. Pension just sighed slightly. He already knew that pen did not trust others. He was the same way. If the staff did confront him he would probably grump and growl at them . Pension would not let him do much more then that.” yah we can do something if you want to. I do have class to marrow but not till the afternoon. Pen grumps allot if I go in the mornings” he said. Pen was not ever in a good mood. And it seemed that mornings made it worse. Pension did have to wonder why the boy wanted him to decide what they did though. It made him feel kind of funny though he did not tell the boy that. Pen would grip about most anything they did. And not that he was hurt it would be even worse then usual. But pension had gotten used to this a long time ago. And if the boy was going to be his friend he would have to get used to pen as well.

"Heh, somehow I kinda expected he'd hate mornings. Maybe something quick if the hand isn't too bad, guess going to the gym is kinda out of the question though." Pen would make things complicated for a while but the gryphon expected he'd be able to make him a friend sooner or later. He was already Pension's friend and he enjoyed hanging out with him so either the darker half would have something to constantly complain about or he'd eventually get used to the idea of Aubri hanging around them. Which most other students might think strange but he didn't care, let them think what they wanted.

Pension was listening to the boy now as he spoke. He could hear pen grumping about how they were not walking fast enough. “ what do you want me to do pen, run?” he asked his other half now. He heard pen hiss slightly and say “ yes but I guess old chubs there would not keep up with us.” pension just gave a low sigh. “ stop being that way he is trying to help us.” he stated. Pen just gave an evil laugh at that . Pen wanted him to get mad. If he got mad pen could gain control. Pension was just much smarter then his other half thought he was. He then tuned his attention back to the boy . “ heh yeah. Maybe we could find something. If you wanted to go to the gym I could watch while you worked out. Or do something that did not involve my hands.” he said with a smile. He knew that there were plenty of exercises that he could do with one hand or not hands at all.

"Guess that's true if you want." They were almost to the school, Aubri smiling and wondering what he'd do at the gym. Maybe try to impress Pen... wait... no, bad idea. If he pushed his luck or if he was working hard on something the darker side might find that the perfect excuse to find a way to hurt him. Maybe he'd risk it, depending on what Pension was doing at the time and what equipment he tried to show off with. Long as it wasn't an exercise bike he'd be good, maybe that would be more for Pension with his sore hand and wrist. "Unless you had something else in mind the gym's good for me."

Pension listened as the boy spoke now. He was sure that he could find something that he could do with one hand. And what made it all the better was the fact that pen actually did not complain about going to the gym. Pen loved to work out when he could. He found that he always wanted top be stronger then others so that he could donate over his foes. Pen more then likely would get mad at him if he tried to impress him too much. He was already angry that he had been hurt. Though it was his own fault pen just blamed the boy instead of himself. Pension himself usually ran if he did exercise. That was one thing that he loved about himself. He wanted to be quick on his feet. The bad thing was that it Also made pen faster. He now heard the boy speak. Yeah the gym would be both fast and fun. Providing that pen did not go and ruin it all. “ alright. No I did not have anything else on my mind” he said with a smile

Aubri smiled as they reached the school, holding the door open for Pension. "Sounds good to me. Don't let Pen show off too much, he'll hurt that hand even more if he does. And we all know he wants to show off right?" Yeah, the gryphon knew Pen wanted to show him up somehow especially with the score tied, one win each so far. And both lost at their own game really, so it was one of those hard to call contests. He'd let Pen have it if it meant avoiding Pension suffering further injury but other than that he wasn't eager to inflate the darker half's ego.

Pension looked up as they reached the school now. He the looked at his hand again. Wow it seemed swollen. But then again it may have just badly sprung he did not know. All he knew right now was that it hurt and his dark half was grumping about it. He gave a sigh as they arrived at the door that led in to the school . He saw the boy hold the door open for him. He gave him a smile as he walked in to the building now. “ thanks.” he said with a smile. He then heard what the boy said. He smiled thinking about how odd it was to have some on watching out for him like that. Indeed pen was a bit of a show off at times. Epically when he thought he had something to prove to others. And that was just the case with the boy. Pen always had to be the one who won. But the good thing was that pension would not let him get them hurt. He was strong enough to do that. “ yeah I will not let him hurt me any worse. Though I would think that he would want to hurt himself either though.” he said with a smile. Pension knew that his dark half was bit of a glory hog. But he also knew that pen had a slight fear of getting hurt or killed. And that was something he used to his advantage at times.

"Good to know. Heh, after all it's always better to show off when you're at your best not when you might be seriously hurt. We hope it isn't serious but never know, not until we get to the hospital wing anyway. Come on." Aubri knew his way around the school well enough and certainly knew where the hospital wing was. At one point he'd considered going there for classes, see if he could become a nurse or doctor or something. Then after a few tours and explanations he figured it was way too much memorization for him and he'd rather end up in there only rarely as a patient. He'd be happy to help Pension keep his darker half under control if it ever came to that but he kind of doubted that was necessary, honestly he figured Pen as the kind that might hurt someone but would never go so far as to kill unless it was a life or death situation.

Pension followed the boy as they walked towards the hospital wing now. He could he pen telling him that he was not going to let the doctors do anything. He also said that he would be lucky if he let they boy help him get fixed up. That made pension sigh slightly. He did not really care what his other half had to say. He was going to do whatever he needed to to get better. He looked at his hand again though. He was no doctor but even he knew that it was not supposed to be swollen. “ yeah he dose not like being hurt. Down side is that when he is hurt he tends to have a shorter temper the usable. I hope it aint hurt bad cause if it he is not gonna let them do much to help it” pension said with a frown. He knew that his dark half would never be a good creature. What the boy did not know was that pension held pen back a lot. If he let pen do as he wished then pen would kill most of his victims. Pension just kept him form doing that by telling him how bad jail would be for them.

"I'm sure it'll be fine in a few days. Don't think I've ever heard of anyone getting seriously hurt in an arm wrestling contest after all." It wasn't long before they were at the entrance to the hospital wing, Aubri keeping an eye on Pension and hoping his darker side wouldn't suddenly lash out at anyone. If it did then he hoped it was him, not someone that could take offense. "I can do all the talking if you like. And I promise we don't let them keep you no matter what their diagnosis happens to be. We're not spending more than a couple minutes in here if we don't have to." That might put Pen at ease a little but probably not. He'd rather throw around a few insults, call them all stupid, grab some bandages and maybe a splint then walk out.

Pension smiled at the boy positive thinking. He was glad that there was somebody who thought that way. He knew that he never thought very positive himself. But most would not think that way if they had pen constantly be berating them. He felt pen stir again as they got closer to the hospital wing. He was not very happy at having to go to the hospital at all. “ yeah I hope so anyhow.” he said with a slight smile. He was trying his best to ignore pen. Though to his surprise pen was not wanting to come out. He was just telling pension what to say mostly. That was nor pens usably way. But pension was not about to complain about it. he knew that pen was mad though he could feel that much. His eyes started to get that dark look to then yet pen did not take control yet. He shook his head now as the boy spoke again yeah it would be a good idea for him to the talking for now.” yeah pen isn’t happy right now . Maybe you should ….” he then paused as he felt pen take control . He wanted to make sure that the boy did not let the doctors help them. He was in no mood to mess around with them. “ as he said speak but make if fast . We do not have time to mess with these fools. Well unless it is broke. Cause I trust them more with that I think.. ” pen snorted while he glared around at the staff. He really did not care for doctors but he knew that they needed to fix broken bone so that they healed right. Other wise he would have pain in that hand for a long time. That would mean that he could not stalk victims as easy. That was one thing that he never wanted to give up.
