Blake was already hard at work on all the surrounding details as he gradually started putting in the water effects of the fountain. It was still the most challenging part for him, why he always saved the hardest part for last was anyone's guess. It could completely ruin the rest of the painting if it came out terrible and all that effort could go to waste, but that never stopped him. Whenever that happened he'd just chalk it up to being a learning experience on how to make the next one, which usually came out perfect. Within an hour he was done and figured it looked respectable enough to keep.

Icey smiled as she slowly made her way to the garden. She hoped that the photo that she had found for him would work. It was of her in her back yard a few months before she had come to golden oaks.She hummed softly as she made her way to the gardens. It was a little cold out but not that bad. She wished that she were a little more use to the cold though. Several minuts latter she had made it to the entrance of the gardens.She could tell that they must have been pretty during the summer month. Now were did the dragon tell her to meet him .. Oh yes by the foutain . She smiled as she hummed to her self and walked in that general direction now.

Blake waved as he saw her coming, setting the canvas he had just painted down and rummaging through a cloth bag. The work table was still set up behind him, he dragged it around and carefully opened up the bag, spilling five stones out onto the table. One marble block about the size of his fist... which was actually pretty big considering his own size. One emerald stone, one that almost looked like ivory but was more synthetic, a large sapphire, and the last stone a block of obsidian. Depending on which color she liked and what the picture was he'd be able to make a decent figurine out of any of these.

Icey pulled up her gloves as she walked to the foutain. She smiled as she saw the dragon wave to her.She walked to were he was.She was glad that he had seen her.She may not have seen him other wise. There were times when Icey tened to not pay enough attion to things around her.As far as colors whent she did not really have a pacific one that she liked. She thought that any color was pretty. she made her way to where he was at now . She did hope that the photo was good enough.It was one of the few that she had that was of just herself.Tthe reast were all of here and her family and friends.She even had a couple of her and her sister who was in prison. ''Hello again.'' She said with a slight smile as she came closer to were the dragon stood.

"Nice to see you again. And even better I see you have a photo with you. So, which of these stones would likely make the best sculpture? I was originally thinking green, but maybe the white one would be better." Of course it depended on the photo too. If it had her in a certain pose or anything he'd have to adjust his plans slightly. Still, he wasn't about to say it for fear of sounding awkward but she was statue material. Fit to be displayed in a great hall or something, maybe she'd like that in a few years, maybe not.

Icey smiled at the dragon.She did not really know witch stone would be better. She was not sure how all of that kind of thing really worked.''Yes it was the best one I had.Here you go.'' She said handing the photo to the dragon. ''Humm I really do not know witch one would be better myself.'' She said with a smile.She would have been really emberrssed if the dragon had told her that she would make a good satue. She was a very modest creature in the first place. She would not have thought that he was wierd or anything though for she had a couple of students tell her that she was very pretty.She just did not think that she was all that pretty. She saw herself as just one of the avaerage females who tended to just blend in the crowd. That may have been just her thought though.

Blake smiled as he took the picture. "Thanks. I'll give it back to you when I finish up the sculpture. Hmm, yeah, I think emerald would go well with this." Blake made a few quick lines in the stone with a pencil and checked the sharpness of all his tools. The night was still young, he could still see rather clearly as the sun was only beginning to set really, maybe he'd get halfway done or better by the end of today. "You're welcome to watch if you like, or ask questions. Oh, and if you wouldn't mind? I just finished this painting here a couple minutes ago. How does it look? Honest answer, I think I pulled off the water but I'm not sure."

Icey was in no hurry for the dragon to finish.She was very pacent and understood that the dragon probly had other things he needed to do.Icey smiled when the dragon asked here to looked at the picture that he had drawn.''No I do not mind at all.'' she said with a smile. She looked at the picture. It looked really realistic in her opion. Actualy it was probly one of the best that she had seen .''Oh wow that is really good. I think that you have done a really good job. I think so as well.'' Icey said with a smile.

"Thanks. Hard to believe I did that in only an hour or two. Guess when the mood strikes me I can be really quick with paintings, other times it just takes me forever to get anything done. Not sculptures though, once I start them I usually finish pretty quick. Mainly so I don't forget where I was going with it, heh. Don't want to forget if I find any stress lines that I have to chip away at carefully. Otherwise I'd start up a project again after a month only to have it break in half, not good for business."

Icey nodded. She could see that he was very good at what he did. She certainly could not paint that well. She did not really like painting though. No offence to those who liked it but she just found it rather boreing . She just was not one to say things like that.'' I bet that it would be.Do you not get tired though after a while?'' Icey asked. she would certainly get tired of working on something like that. Maby though it was a little less tiring then it looked though.

"I like keeping busy. Art's a nice way to focus on a single goal, a single topic for a while. I find it quite relaxing. Though I will admit, sometimes I have fallen asleep halfway through a project, heh. Usually when I'm told to do something and I don't really feel like doing it. Doesn't happen too often anymore though, I'm to the point where I get to choose who I work for and what kind of deadline I want to set up. Still get a few interesting commissions now and then too, aside from the normal ones." Lately his interesting projects included a statue of someone who wanted to be seen holding huge bags of money. No accounting for taste but it had been interesting.

''I see . Humm I could see how it would get kind of tiring after a while. Really you must have alot of concetration to you.'' she said with a smile. she could see that if one could concentrate then they could be great at it.'' She said with a slight smile. She would get a headacke after a while.Maby it was funner to other people though.

"Yeah, unless it's a really interesting project or if I'm teaching someone. Anybody asking questions makes it feel more like I'm teaching or helping someone out, makes it less boring. I do get a lot of strange requests though, heh. Sometimes they're worth doing and other times it's just impossible even for me. I think one of the strangest requests I ever got was from... dang I can't even remember who it was but some government asked me to make a perfect replica of some statue and I just couldn't. Well, not the way they wanted me to anyway. This was a statue of marble or granite, maybe six feet tall, and they wanted me to make a pure ivory copy in the same height."

Icey smiled to the dragon.That sounded like it would have been hard to do. Maybe that was just her though.If someone as good as this dragon had trouble doing something then it must have been hard.She was glad that she did not have to do thing like that for a living.Hell she had it easy really.She was one of the few who would never have to work. She came from a faimly that had enough money to where they did not even want to work anymore. Icey would never want to do that though. In her mind that was like taking the esay way out or something. ''Wow that seemS like it would be hard. You know you sound like you could be a rather intresting creature.'' She said with a smile.

"Heh, thanks. I try not to let my life end up being boring. If I think it is then I always find a way to fix it. Usually with art, not all the time though. Sometimes i try my hand at sword fighting, fencing, even making blades can be fun. And there's always work around here, even during the quiet times of the school I can always look for someone that doesn't want to show up for class without a good reason." Blake always had something he could be doing. Once in a while he'd just shrug it all off and sit down with a nice book though. Appreciate someone else's efforts instead of focusing so much on his own.
