Icey smile as she walked up the stairs that lead to the bell tower.She liked to wonder around the school when she found the time.She felt that it was slightly colder up here then it was down lower.It did not bother her that much though .She pulled her jacket on over her wings so that she would get that cold.She was glad that she had worn a sweater today and as always she wore her gloves. She opened the door that lead to the tower.She stepped in to the room and left the door open as she stepped inside.It was quiet a sight for her to see.She looked around and smiled as she walked carefully to the edge.She looked down and frowned a bit.It was very high up here and she would not to fall from up here. She had heard that a few had tried to jump from up here. The thought made ice shake her head.''I had best get back a little.'' She said out loud .She was mostly talking to herself as she said this. She took a few steps back and sat near the edge.She cold see why a few students came here just to look over the edge.

Heavy footsteps echoed up the stairway to the bell tower as Blake carefully made the climb. This tower had some of the oldest stones in the castle aside from the dungeons, he always marveled at how well they were holding up against the elements and students, but that wasn't why he was heading up here. No, apparently one of the musically inclined people around the school had heard a slight difference in the tone of the bell this morning. He wasn't sure if it was a teacher, a student, or if this was even accurate as nobody else made note though. Still, his assignment was to go up and check the entire bell for any damage or graffitti that could have altered it. Supposedly even a wad of gum casually placed on the thing could make a change... again, not sure if he believed that or not. If there were any damages or signs of age he was going to have to figure out how to repair or replace the darned thing though. The last thing the black dragon expected to see all the way up here was a student though. Sure some came up for the view, the privacy, or to admire the tower. "Oh, hope I'm not interrupting anything. Just up to inspect the bell. What brought you all the way up here?"

Icey had been staring down at the gardens below.It fascinated her slightly that the few students who came threw them seemed to look like ants from way up here.The thought amused the secretary bird slightly. Then her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of foot steps coming up the stairs. From the sound of they they must be kind of big.That did not really surprise her considering that a few dragons went to this school. She stood up and spread her wings a little.She turned to look to see who it was coming up here.She was surprised to see that it was a big black dragon.She smiled at him when he asked his question. She did not have a good answer to his question.''Err... no you did not. I was just exploring the school and found my way up here.'' She said masking the nervous tone in her voice. She was not afraid of him just slightly nervous.

"Oh, I see. It is a wonderful view isn't it? Best one you can get at the school from inside. Only gets a little better if you head out onto the roof, and is generally not approved anyway, heh. I can be out of your way in a minute hopefully, unless you felt like having some company? Not like I'm in a rush or anything, probably just up here on a fool's errand so I might as well take a few minutes to enjoy the scenery right?" Blake took a quick walk around the bell to look for any signs of stress, finding nothing wrong with it. Unless there was a problem on the inside he didn't have to worry.

Icey smiled at the dragon.She did not mind company for the most part. She had just been trying to find something to do.She found the view from up here very pretty.Icey was the kind of creature who liked to take time just to look at things.That a play her music.''Yes I think so.I find that it is a little relaxing. No I would not mind at all. I think that you should if you have time. '' She said with a smile . Icey felt herself relax somewhat now. She had become quiet good at getting herself to shake off any kind of nervous feeling that she got from others. She watched the dragon look over the tower. She did not know why anyone would want to try to mess with something like the bell tower. She knew however that some did not care that much about historic things.She was also not a trouble maker like most others her age so maby that was it also.

Blake smiled, leaning in under the bell with a little flashlight and checking everything as best he could. It did look a little worn, but not to the point that it was falling apart. Just your usual wear and tear that might be a problem later on. "Well thankfully I don't have to do any work on this thing, so I've got some time. It's really nice up here today, only a really gentle breeze, can barely notice it."

Icey watched the dragon as he looked at the bell. She smiled as she pulled her gloves up over her claws so they would not show.She did not really like for other creatures to see them. Really the only time she was on wereing her gloves was when it was really hot or she was sleeping.'' That is good for you right? It is kind of nice up here. I kind of thought that it might be colder being this high up.'' icey said with a smile.Of course the secrtery bird was used to a warmer enviorment . After alll you did not get snow that ofter in the south .

"Sometimes it is, especially considering there aren't any really solid doors or windows. When we know there's going to be heavy snow or rain we can always put something up to close off the tower from strong winds and such though. Actually makes me kind of wonder how this thing's held up so well over the years. Probably should have windows though... might also keep students from worrying about falling over the edge. Hasn't happened that I know of but I can see why some would fret."

Icey could understand why one would be afraid that they could fall. When she got close to the edge she was a little scared herself.She was a very cautious creature though. She was the kind that did not really like to do things that could get her hurt . She could sometimes be over cautious when she was doing things. Though in her eyes it was better safe the sorry. She could see that the walls did seem to be thiner then most of the other walls.''Really. I did not think that it was that thin. No wonder they say that it gets that cold up here.That could be a good idea to think about. '' she said. Icey did not know rather they should have windows or not. She guessed that it would help though. On the other hand they might ruin the kind of view that some like with open spaces and all.

"Yeah. Ever since I got here I've been looking at this bell tower and admiring it. Really a marvel how well it's held up, and to date I've only had to replace one stone. On one of the ledges, was half crumbled and could have been a problem if someone slipped on it. Really glad it's stood up to time so well, I'd be the one who had to replace and repair stuff. From the bell to the smallest stone here, I've still got no idea where I'd even begin if it's ever required." Blake sat down on the top step of the stairway, smiling and stretching out a little. It was definitely a place he could come to relax.

Icey listined as the dragon spoke.The tower must have been really old acording to what the dragon had said. If that was the case then it must have been pretty tough.That was surprising to think about though.''Really. Wow that is realy good for you . Humm that would be kind of hard to do.It is really neat to look actualy. This is actualy the first time I have gotten the time come all the way up here.'' She said with a smile. She could agree that it was relaxing up here. It was also king of quiet compared to other parts of the school.

"It still amazes me when I think about it. Society's improved in so many ways from the days this place was built. So many new things, and here's this old castle that if it were to fall apart nobody would know how to build it back up even half as sturdy as it is right now. And I'm usually really good with stone, carvings and statues and such at least. It's a beautiful view though, have to give the gardeners and groundskeepers credit for it."

Icey did really know that the castle was that old. She thought that it was just built to look that way. She had seen a few places that were disened to look old but really were not that old.She was glad to be learn just a little bit of history about this place. She smiled as she looked down from where she was standing.She thought that it must have looked even better in the spring or summer time when most of the flower and plants would be blooming. '' Yeah it is a very beautiful view. They must be very good at what they do . You do carving out of stone? That would seem to be kind of hard to do.'' She said looking at the dragon . She would think that it would take a great deal of work to carve something out of wood much less stone. Then again this was a dragon that she was talking to so that might make it easier for him to do that sort of thing.

"Well, I have had a lot of practice in working with stone. Anything artistic I wanted to try it, turns out I'm good at almost everything, painting, sculpting, pottery, I'm just a terrible writer, heh. What do you want to do though? You've got a lot of years ahead of you, any plans or just working on figuring out what would make you happy?" It took Blake quite some time to have his own answers. Heck he was still working on finding a few of them but they were from newer questions mostly.

Icey nodded as she listined to the dragon.She was not much of an artist her self. She was more into music then anything.though She did like to write she was not that great herself . She smiled when he asked her what she wanted to do. She had two choices that she wanted to do right now. She was not sure what she liked to do more though.''Well I have kind of thought about it. I have two thing that I am looking into right now. I either going to be a reporter or I am going to be a musican. Classic music that is.'' she said with a smiled. She was very good at playing music . She did not know if she wanted to do that more or not though.
