Claws nodded to what the snake said. He was glad that the snake seemed to want to help him be less awkward around others. He knew that he would have to keep practicing talking to others before he could feel less nervous around them. At least now though he had someone around who could help him do that. “ yeah….. that’s … right…..heh…. Yeah…I …..guess ……it ……dose……hum ……yeah …..that ….is …..a ……good ….sign,” he said with a smile on his face. He then heard the snake say something to another student. Hum looked like this snake was a lot more observant then most. However claws knew that it was always best not to ask questions about certain things. The more he was around the snake though the more he started tov kind of figure out about him.

"This is my favorite table in the cafeteria. Right over there's a vending machine with a nice reflective surface on the side, at a perfect angle to give me a good view of those tables over there to your left. Up behind you, a clock with the same advantage except it lets me see those boys over there. And to your right there's two, but one's a little tricky. It gives me an angle at the kitchen and an angle on the tables behind and left of me. Working here, I do my best to figure things out. A little creative thinking can go a long way, and that goes for any kind of problem you might have."

The falcon gave a smile as the snake spoke. He was actually learning a lot just from what he said. Sadly though the falcon was never good at observing his surroundings. Mostly he just kept his head down and hoped that he would not be bothered by others. Not that he minded it was just that he had his shy nature to try to deal with.”… hum ……..really? ……..Wow …….you ……really ……observe …….your ……surroundings …….well. …..That ……is …..very …..interesting. …… I….. can …..see …..how …..that …..would …….come ……in ……handy …..though” claws said with a slight smile. Now this just made him wonder even more about the snake. He tried not to show it though because he would get embarrassed if the snake asked him about it. Though he would never ask any of the questions in his mind. Oh the many many curses of being shy. That would not be a problem for much longer if the falcon could ever find a way to cure it. He hoped that being around others would help him get over it that much faster. he knew though that all things like that took alot of time and pacents. good thing he had plenty of both.

"I've always found the more I know about something the better I'm able to confront it, or the better I can help someone with a problem. And I get the feeling there's more on your mind, so feel free to ask. Or if you like, you can try and pick up all the angles too, heh, just trade seats with me for a minute. Maybe that can help you too, maybe. Just another random idea, but if you're not face to face with someone and not actively talking to them it could be easier to come up with questions, or I dunno, maybe start a conversation when you're sure you aren't bothered too much by what you observe." The snake smiled, reclining in his seat a bit and sipping the last of his drink. Claws was good company, he just needed to know that and feel like good company once in a while.

Claws listened to the snake now with an interested smile on his face. He could see the point of what the snake was saying. However claws always looked down at the ground or table most of the time. He was happy though that the snake was thinking f ways to try to help him still. Though in some strange way it did make him feel strange for him to want to help him. They had just met after all. “ ahh …I ….see … heh ….yeah….its …hard….. For ….me …to…….. asked ……..others …….questions. ………Well ……..you …….would …….have ……to …….show ……me ……how …..to …..do …..that . ……It …..would ….be…. fun ….to …..learn.” the falcon said with a smile. He was trying not to think to hard about why the snake was being so kind. He knew that it was just him being nice and friendly. Claws really hated being so paranoid and shy around others. He just wanted to try to relax and take it easy. That was something better said then done though. He would do it though it would just be a while before he could.

"Sure no problem. Once you set your mind to something it usually ends up being a lot easier than you thought. Not all the time of course, but more often than not." Athos was happy to help in any way he could, but he figured that was probably enough suggestions for now. He didn't want to make it seem like he was trying to live the kid's life for him. No, Claws would still have to make his own mistakes from time to time and he'd still need to make it on his own if he left the school. So anything he could teach in the time his new friend was around could be helpful but the lessons had to sink in. And that was something that just didn't happen if you had fifty different things all trying to get in at once.

Claws nodded as he listened to the snakes words . He was actually quiet a fast learner when he was being taught something. However like most creatures claws defiantly could not learn every thing all at once. That was just not possible. That was why he was also one of those who took his time when he was doing something as well. “ yeah ……that’s …….true. ……..Heh …….well…….. there …….are…… something’s …….that ……we ……..can …..not …..understand ……no……. matter……… how ………hard ……..we ……try. ……..That ……is ……what ……makes ……life …..interesting. ….At…..least ……to …..me…… it …….is.” he said with a smile. Claws was fully prepare to take falls as he went on with his life. In fact he had his share of them in the past. To him that is what made him stronger and smarter. If you got hurt you just had to pick yourself up no matter how much it hurt and start walking again. Other wise you just ended up stuck and sad.

"Heheheh, well you definitely have a point there. I'll never understand anything my cousin does or thinks, I know that much. Speaking of him, I could use another half cup of tea before heading out, how about you?" Athos waved to his cousin and held up his cup, the naga understanding and making his way over. Athos had to grin a little, being able to essentially order his cousin around like this, but only in the cafeteria. Anywhere else in the school and that sneaky naga knew how to get his way.

Claws smiled to what the snake said now . It was not often that others actualy agreed with what he said.Usaly they just told him that he was weird or talking likr some old person. yet anouther reason thefalcon thaought that he was better off by himself. There were many things that the young falcon could never understand. The beast thing that he could do was try his best and hope it was good enough. The falcon kind of smiled when the snake said that he needed some more to drink. The falcon himself really did not drink all that much. He found that if he drank a lot before going to sleep he usually did not sleep all that well. “ no…I…am…good….thank…you” the falcon said with a smile. The falcon was not really one who liked to order others around. Now he would give slight suggestions on certain things if he felt they were needed.

Athan slithered by with the drink refill for his cousin and moved his way around to Claws' side of the table. "Hope you're enjoying everything." He slithered off again with a smile as Athos took a few sips from his refilled glass.

"So you're heading back to your room after you're done the drink and such? I'll look forward to seeing you around the school then, heh, except when I'm around the headmaster's office probably. It wouldn't hurt to meet him at some point though, he's about as nice as they get." After all Drake was nice enough to hire him and the red dragon knew his past.

The falcon smiled to the naga as he watched him for a second. He was trying to keep calm as he could around him. And much to his surprise it worked long enough while he was around. Though he did not show it the falcon was kind of glad it worked that well for him.” yeah…I ….am” he said with a slight smile. He then watched the naga as he left. Then with a smile he turned to the snake as he spoke now. Indeed after he was done here he would go to his dorm and either write for a while or sleep. He was not really sure what one he was going to do just yet.” yeah….I…am ….I….. hope ….to …..see…….. you …….around ……..as …….. well……. Yeah ………I ………will ………..have ……..to ……….try ………to ……..meet …….him …….one ……..of ……….these ………days.” the falcon said with a smile. He had heard from a couple of students that the headmaster was very kind. It was just that the falcon had not gotten the courage up to ever go and meet him yet. But he was sure that he would one day.

Athos was almost tempted to start arranging meetings for Claws, people that would really understand him or like his personality. But that would probably be crossing a few lines, he didn't want to hand anything to his friend or force Claws into anything either. Sending wave after wave of friendly people would definitely count as something annoying even in his own book, so he put that thought in the back of his mind and tried to let other good ones surface. Shame nothing was coming so he just sat there and sipped his drink, finished his food, waiting for something to pop into his head. "I'm sure you'll see me around, and I'll keep an eye out for you once in a while too."

The falcon felt kind of bad that he could not really think of much more to add to their conversation.he was really trying to think of something to say. it was just that anything he thought of just made him feel funny so he kept it all tohimself. that was simply the way that the falcon thought of things He was normally the kind who just listened to others and added whatever he could think of to it. It would probably be better for the snake to take things slow when introducing claws to a bunch of new people all at once. It took claws time to figure others out witch was why he never met many of the people in the towns that he visited. It was to be mentioned though that he did plan on at least trying to stay here for a while” okay… that… sounds … good…me” the falcon said with a smile.

Maybe eventually Athos could let the falcon know more about him, to know who he was really friends with right now. It just wasn't too likely in the near future, what was likely was him keeping an eye out for his friend and doing anything he could whenever he could to help. The bad thing was sooner or later he'd find out about all the cameras and might feel like he never had any privacy or something. "Heh, good. You know if you ever give up on wandering I could always use a hand with some of the security around here. Not directly confronting people of course, more like monitoring things."

The falcon held a soft smile on his face as he listened to the snake. It was probably best that the falcon did not know all there was to know about the falcon. He just thought that he was really nice and that he made a very good friend for now. As paranoid as the falcon was it was probably better that the snake kept the cameras’ to himself too. The falcon would probably think that it was the snake spying on others to find victims or something. Sometimes claws ideas of how the world worked was really out there. though mostly he just tried to keep that sort of thing to himself. “ hum …okay….I….will ….keep …. that….in….mind…… heh……that…..sounds…..good.” he said with a smile. Claws was actually happy that he might have a job if he ever chose to stay in one place.
