"Sure, any time you want I can be there for support. Even if it turns out you don't really need me I can still be there for you as a friend. Should definitely make meeting someone a little easier." Athos didn't want to push him into anything after all, but he'd be there when needed. The snake was all too eager to be a friend, Claws was the kind of person he wanted to help the most even when he knew the kid wouldn't actually need that much assistance. He'd take things at any pace he wanted, that was part of why Athos liked him. Nobody could pressure the kid into doing something he didn't want to, he was probably a really good student. The snake smiled and took a few more sips of his drink wondering if there was anything else on the falcon's mind. Probably a lot, but he didn't want to share it all.

The falcon gave the snake a smile now as he listened to him speak. He was rather that the snake seemed to like him so much already. Though he did have to wonder how they managed to get along so well so fast. Perhaps it was the fact that they both had some of the same interests and claws was just a quiet type who did not say much. He really was not a bad kid unless he accidentally was out past the curfew. Then he was in trouble. Though claws had gotten in to the habit of keeping track of the time so that he could avoid that sort of situation. “ heh ……..I …….really ……..appreciate ………..that. ……..Yeah …….I ………defiantly ………will. ……..Of ……..course……… you ………know ……..that ………if ……..you ………ever …….need ……..anything ……I ………will ……….help ……..if ………you …….need ………me …….too.” he said with a smile on his beak. Claws was the kind who carefully thought of what he should do in this kind of situation. If he knew that he could get hurt then he simply did not take the risk. With his habit of traveling around from place to place this came in handy. Really though as far as conversation when claws was not really sure what to say now. He never was good at talking to others. He did know that he would soon need to get back to his dorm though . He did have to go to class. But for now he had time and was very much happy to spend it with the snake.

"Of course. But right now all I want is a good friend I can count on, and I've got that sitting right here, heh." He'd been half watching the falcon, trying to read any body language to see if he was uncomfortable with anything, or more than usual at least. From what he could tell nothing serious so far but he was surprised at how little the falcon had to drink and eat. Maybe he just didn't enjoy a big meal or anything before going to bed. "Heh, besides I'm never hard to find and if I do get into any kind of trouble I know there's always going to be someone nearby." The snake didn't want to mention his "best friend" typically being a pistol or sniper rifle, or dagger, or explosives, but those days were fading and he was able to live relatively peacefully here at the school.

The falcon gave a slight smiled to what the snake said.. He would probably be one of the most loyal friends that one could make when they got close to him. It was just getting close to him that was the problem. It was good though that the snake had gotten as close to him as he had. Really the falcon did not eat much at night because he could not sleep very well when he did. “ heh …..yeah …… I…… will …….try ….to…. Be ….a ……good….. friend.” he said with a smile on his beak. Claws was actually relaxed for the moment though he was still just a little nervous. At least he was better though. “ heh …..that…… is …….good.” he said with a smile .it was always good to have protection around. Though really claws was the kind who would almost always run instead of fight .

His friend was definitely relaxing and that was one of the snake's goals, to help Claws relax today. "Have you ever been to the spas here in the school? I've never actually bothered spending any time there, been wondering if it's really as good as everyone seems to think it is. Don't want to make a trip up there for nothing though." It was odd how he'd never been there since it opened, and Athos was probably pretty stressed compared to some of the people that would go there. Oh well, he was handling things just fine and unless Claws might want to go there some time or told him it was great the snake could happily go without the spa treatment.

Claws smiled at the snake as he asked his question. Actually the falcon had been to the spas before though he did not think to much of them. They were crowed therefore he really did not care to be around them. And of course wet feathers always made it hard for someone to walk around as well. Though he would say that they were kind of relaxing in a strange way. “ well …….I ……have ……..been …….there …….once……. It …….was….. relaxing….. but ……I ……..personally ……am …….not …..a ……big …….fan. ……Though ……..really …..I ……am …….not ……a …….big ……..fan …….of …….that …….sort …..of ……..thing. …in …..general…..Was …….kind ……of ……relaxing ……though.” claws said with a sort of crooked smile. He really was not sure what else he could say. Everyone had their own opinion on such things and claws simply did not prefer things like that. To him there was nothing more relaxing then flying. Though he knew that there were very few who could ever enjoy such a thing like that. Really it was a shame considering all the sights one missed from the ground at times. Though claws was one who kept things like that to himself.

"Ah, okay. I'd probably have to go at a time when nobody else was around there just to enjoy it, which kind of kills off the chance of using some of their stuff. Just really leaves the steam room and those spa tub thingies, whatever they're called. I don't keep track of that kind of thing too well, either enjoy it or don't but you shouldn't have to memorize its name to be able to use it or anything right?" They probably shared that in common then, not liking the spas too much due to a crowd. This right here was fine by him, best way to relax was talking with a friend over a bite to eat or a nice cool drink.

Claws smiled when he heard what the snake said.he could understand not wanting to be around crows. claws hated crowds in general. though he could deal with them while he was going to and from classes. though reall that was everyone in this school that whent to the classes. He really had forgotten what everything was supposed to be called himself. Claws was just as happy sitting here drinking his drink and talking with a good friend. ”yeah……. Probably…..would……I….really……don’t…..know….. Yeah….me ..nether…no….you…should….not” claws said with a smile. He really was not sure what else to say. He did feel kind of bad that he was not very good at talking to others just yet. But hay at least he was talking right?

"Just out of curiosity, and sorry if this is a bad question or anything, feel free to tell me as much and refuse to answer. I wonder though, do you know any other ways of communication? If you get nervous talking to someone, can you maybe do sign language and feel less awkward, or sing, or anything like that? It's just an old technique I heard about and never really knew if it worked for anyone or not." If there were a way to make things easier for his friend he definitely wanted to try it, and he wasn't half bad at sign language or anything so if it was an option why not give it a try?

The falcon had to think about the snakes question before he could respond to it. Really he had never been asked something like that before. He just sort of spoke to others and tried to hope they could do the same for him While claws could understand a speak sign language he had never used it to talk to others. The question though did not really offend though. It was just rather strange to him was all. “ no its fine. Well I can like do sign language but I don’t do it that often. Really I just kind get quiet if I get to nervous around others. I have never tried doing anything else. Heh I guess I could help though. I really do not know” claws said with a smile. Claws was the kind who was willing to do anything one if he thought that it c ould help him.

"Was just a thought, wouldn't want to try and force you to do something new and feel even more embarrassed or anything. Still, maybe a little practice? Athan's still looking over in this direction, maybe a smile and a wave or something similar if you want to try it? See if it feels better than calling out to him." How Athos knew his cousin was still watching when his back was turned to the naga was anybody's guess. He probably just knew all of his habits or something, maybe he figured nobody else in the cafeteria was as interesting as they were, or maybe the physics professor was managing to catch some odd angle of something reflective to give him a good view of what was behind him. That wouldn't be too surprising considering his past, always needed to know if someone was watching or sneaking up on him.

Claws smiled as he listened to what the snake said. He could understand that the snake was only trying to suggest something to him. And he really did appreciate the jester. Really if claws did not want to do something he would not do it no matter what. That was one thing about the falcon. No matter what he had sworn that he would make his own choices . “ I …. understand…uhh,…..alright. …well…I…could…try ….that…no…problem.” the falcon said with a slight smile. He had to wonder to himself how the snake knew that the naga was still watching. Never the less he shyly smiled over to him and gave a small wave. He hoped that it would be enough for the naga to notice. It was better the calling out to him that was for sure. Claws was not really the kind who did things like that anyhow. Even just waving and smiling at some one made him nervous. Though not as bad a actually talking to him would have.

The small wave was enough, Athan gave a smile and a similar wave back for a moment before pouring himself a drink from one of the pitchers handy at the service counter.

"Well it's definitely a start right? And if it works for you then you can always expand on it a little at a time until it's much easier when you're feeling nervous." Of course Athos was neglecting one small thing. He knew a lot of sign language and other ways of communication, but how many others around the school would be in the same position, to be able to understand Claws when he waved and gave other little gestures and signals?

Claws sort of smiled when he saw athan wave back. He could still feel his nervous nature coming around. He could say though that it was not as bad as usual. Still it defiantly was a good start to him being able to talk to others. Though the thought had actually crossed his mind that some may not be able to understand him. But he figured with those kinds he would just try to talk normally. That was about the only thing he could do in that kind of situation. ‘ heh….. yeah….. I …….hope…….so. ….That ……is….. if …….they ……can……. understand …..me.” claws said. He figured that he might as well state his minor concerned. After all he would not want to look like a moron or something in front of others.

"Well if they can't it's nothing against you. It just means that they aren't as clever as they think they are, heh. You know something they don't, that's a good thing really. Besides, my cousin was able to understand you, that's definitely a good sign right?" Of course Athan had been looking in their direction pretty much the whole time. The snake smiled as he caught another glimpse of something, something nobody else would have seen, except there was a reason he liked this table. He smirked as he called out to another student several tables over. "You throw that you're going to regret it." A skunk boy suddenly sat back down in his seat and looked at the glob of mashed potatoes in his hand, dropping it back onto his plate. Athos didn't care who he might have been aiming for, he just made sure it never started in the first place.
