"Even more so when I'm supposed to leave the discipline up to our headmaster. It's pretty annoying if I catch someone causing trouble and I have to call Drake to tell him what's going on and what I want to do to reprimand the kid." Sometimes he skipped that step if he could, especially if he knew Drake would go too easy on the student. There were times when he figured if no real harm was done then there wasn't a reason to enforce the rules, like if someone just put a bit of paint on a wall. Athos would have them clean it up but sometimes the headmaster figured a janitor could take care of it instead. That was just one of the lighter examples, sometimes he wished he could whip someone for extremely poor behavior but it wasn't exactly legal.

Claws nodded to the snake as he spoke. He could agree that it could be annoying not to be able to do anything about someone who wanted to cause trouble. Though claws had seen it happen a lot when he was in elementary school. Someone would hit someone then say that they did not do it and get the other student in trouble for lying. Lucky for claws he tended to be able to avoid most situations like that when they arose. If caught in a fight he could usually just talk his way out of it or fly away from his attacker. That was just the way that the falcon rolled. “ yeah…. I ….can….. See…. that…. would…. be….. hard….to….do….. At…..least….there…..dose….not….seem….to….be…that….mucch ……trouble….around……. Here……. Though” he said with a slight smile. Claws was one of those who believe that if you did something wrong you should be made to pay for doing such a crime. Rather it be cleaning up your mess or in the very least saying that you were sorry for whatever you did. Most though would just laugh and say that the just did it for the heck of it. Sadly though many thought that a light slap on the wrist would prevent students form doing the same thing again. Oh if only the world worked that way. He knew though all to well that it never worked that way

"Yeah. And you'd be surprised. Since Drake's been known to take in some of the most problematic students of other institutes and still he straightens them out. There's a secret clause for everyone that signs up here, it basically allows him to use whatever kind of discipline he deems fit. He's only had to use it a couple of times and it's always worked just fine, so if anyone ever gave me and the others consistent trouble he'd have a solution. There's actually a real old timey dungeon down in the lower levels, someone has to spend a couple days locked up down there for something bad enough, they don't want to end up back in such a place." Of course there were worse methods of punishment he could use, but Athos hadn't been here for any instances. He'd been here for only one problem really, and a few outside difficulties.

Claws was now listing to the snake as he spoke. He could understand how the head master would want to take in problem kids. After all every one needed a second chance. He then gave the snake a strange look when he said that the head master could use whatever punishment he needed on a student. Well he could see how that would help him out a bit. Though he was really not sure rather he wanted to believe him or not about the fact that he locked students in the Dungun when they were really bad. Though as usual claws would simply keep his opinion to himself. “ hum ….I ….had….heard…that….he ……did …….that. …….I …….guess …….that……. Would …….work …….to ……make ……..someone …….behave.” claws said with a smile. He certainly would behave if her were locked up in a dungeon.

"Thankfully it is extremely rare. Well, not like you have to worry about that, heh. If anything you've got security on your side now, remember that." Of course if his new friend did something wrong Athos would have to do his job first. He'd never go to extreme measures on a friend but he kind of figured the falcon wasn't the kind who would cause trouble like that. "Don't remember if I asked or not, but you in one of the private rooms or in the dorms?"

Claws smiled to the snake now as he spoke. The only bad thing claws might do was forget home worker or accidentally get back to the school late while he was out for one of his walks. Though the falcon knew full well that one of these times he was going to go walking and would probably just keep on walking. That was his nature. Though now that he had a new friend here. He would have to be sure to tell the snake good bye and find a way to keep in touch with him. “ hehe……. that is……. goods. ……Okay…… I……. will ……keep ….that …in…… mind. “ he said with a smile on his beak. It was good to know that he had someone watching his back. He now looked at the snake when he asked his question. Of course like most students he was in the dorms. Though the good thing for now was that he did not have a roommate. He was not really good at talking with others he did not know much less living with them as well. “ I ……. am …….in ……the ……dorms. …….I…… did….. not …….know…… the …….school ……..had …….private ……..rooms …..though.” he said with a smile. He knew that it was getting close to time for him to be getting back to his dorm for the night. However he did still have a bit of time left to be with his new friend.

"Sometimes they're for the rich, sometimes for special cases, sometimes a way to isolate a problem student from others so they don't get into constant fights. And sometimes the isolation is just because they don't like other people and request a room of their own. Potential teachers and such get them too, so they aren't exactly rare but the headmaster prefers to give them out to those he feels need them instead of just letting anyone come in and start setting up their stuff. Which is good when some of the rooms used to be used for storage and aren't exactly clear of clutter yet."

Claws now gave a slight smile to the snake. He could see why the head master would want to keep certain students away from others. He really was happy just where he was at. It might give him an opportunity to meet someone new in the future. Though he was really not sure how he would be able to talk with them if they did not understand his shy nature. Oh well he would just worry about that when the time came for it. Right now he was just going to take it easy and relax while he could “ ahh…. That…..makes ….since ….hehe yeah…..that would…..be a…..good…..use for them” he said with a smile now. As they got to the doors of the school. he was happy that he had made a new friend today. he was also glade that he was strating to overcome his shy nature while he was around the snake. this meant that claws was starting to trust the snake more now. and most certauinly was a good thing.

"Well, it's starting to get a little late but I've still got the day off if you want to hang out a little longer. Maybe get a drink in the cafeteria or the juice bar?" Athos was the kind of guy that if he happened to be free and found himself doing nothing he was more than likely going to get bored and start working even on his day off. He was at the school after all, and his room had some of his security gear in it, so it would be rather tempting to just take a quick patrol or two instead of relaxing. He'd rather hang out with a friend instead.

The falcon smiled to the snake when he asked his question. He did have some more time before he had to go back to his dorm. So he did not have a problem spending it with his new found friend. And of course a drink sounded pretty good to the falcon as well. It would give his friend something to do besides work on his day off as well though claws did not exactly know this. The falcon was one of those who could either be lazy or work all day none stop. It just depended on his mood really. “ yeah ….it…… is. …….Hum ……yeah …..we ….can…… do …..that …….if …….you ……..want……. to. ………That…… sounds …….good ……..with …….me.” the falcon said with a smile. He was happy hanging around with the snake for now. He was fine being out late as long as he did not get any trouble with it.

"Right, cafeteria's a little closer to here and we can always grab a snack if we feel like it too. So that's probably the better place to head off to, heh, you know the way there right?" Of course unless he was a brand new student he'd know the way, it was one of the first things Drake had the kids memorize and one of the places they all visited within the first day or two. Even more so the new students that heard Drake allowed a new face to have a free meal or two as a sort of welcoming gift so they wouldn't have to worry about food for the first few days as part of their budget.

The falcon smiled to the snaked as he asked his question. Of course he knew his way to the cafeteria. He had been there a few times since he had been here. He had actually been around the school for a couple of months now and pretty well had almost everything down path. Though it was a rather big school so he had yet to learn every nook and cranny around but he would by the time he left here. “ okay…. That….. Sounds…good…..to…..me. ….yeah…..I…..know….where….that….is….at.” he said with a smile. Actually since he had been here he had yet to actually meet the headmaster though he heard many things about him. Most were just nasty rumors but he brushed most of that off as his peers just being immature and all. As far as many when claws did not have much but the lady that had been kind enough to send him here did make sure that all of his schooling was paid for. Just anything extra he would have to come up with the money for himself. Not that claws ever needed anything extra.

"Heh, good, then you can lead this time. And I'll just give us the employee discount at the cafeteria for anything you want." He figured it was fair enough, since it was his idea to go to the cafeteria he should be the one to pay. And why give more money than you had to? Besides it shouldn't be busy at this time of day, just a few stragglers who had late dinners and a couple teachers that always ate late because of classes and such. "Heh, maybe I should get a sandwich or something for Blake back at the gates, if he's still there when we leave the cafeteria at least."

Claws smiled to the snake when he said that he could lead. Really claws was not the leader type. However he would lead this time if that was what the snake wanted. After all he liked the snake and was sure that he was not going to do anything to him for the moment. “ okay …I …will ….do …that. ..hum…that ….sounds ….good. “ he said with a slight smile. It did make him feel a bit funny when others paid for things for him. However he knew that it should be taken as them simply being nice. He then smiled when the snake said that maybe he should by the dragon they had passed recently something. He was not sure what to say to that so he just gave a nod as he started to lead the way to the cafeteria.

Athos was running out of ideas for conversation, so they walked in silence for a while to the cafeteria. Sometimes you didn't really need to talk to have a nice time or hang out with friends though, so he was happy enough just walking along and glad that there weren't any students getting into trouble at the moment. And he was glad nobody ever really bothered him in the hallways, no, they'd come to his office and bug him, or complain in class, but never in the halls. He wondered why that was, but didn't really bother giving it much thought.
