"My day was looking pretty boring actually, didn't have anywhere to go or anything to do. So if you feel like hanging out that's great. Walking around or exploring both sound fine to me, I could use the exercise after all." Aubri laughed and pat his stomach for emphasis. Most of his muscle was in his legs and shoulders, not his abs. Flying was supposed to help but lately he even got a little exhausted when he shouldn't. Kinda sucked considering he wanted to be able to give his one friend a lift now and then.

Pension smiled at the griffin as he spoke. He was happy to hang out with the kid. After all for now he seemed like a nice boy so far. And he could put up with his other half. Pension was in to exercising almost every day. He did not like the thought of getting fat. When the kid said he need the exercise he heard his other half say” hehehe he is not kidding about that one.” he frowned slightly and thought back “ have you not caused enough harm to us for one day.” he then smiled to the boy “ yeah I would like to hang out with yous. If you wanna explore with me the that is cool. I do not think you are that fat kid.” he said with a smile. Sometimes being over weight could be kind of cute.

"Cool, anywhere you lead I'll follow. We'll see what we can find around here together." The gryphon laughed. "Okay, maybe I'm not that fat but I could stand to lose a bit that much is certain... which is why this is going to sound so terrible." Aubri walked over to the juice bar counter, smiled, and ordered a drink to go. Yeah, he didn't really need the calories and a bottle of water would do just as well if the walk wound up being a long one but... these things were just so good! Cup in hand he walked back over to Pension. "Alright, anywhere you wanna go I'm in."

Pension smiled at the griffin as he spoke. He did not really care what they found as long as they did not find trouble. His dark half did not need encouragement to be coming out again. He then heard the griffin laugh and make his other statement. And of course his other side had another insult ready “ see told you he was fat “ it stated in his mind. “ alright.” he retorted. He then waited for the boy to get his drink as he did this. He got up from his chair using his good hand for balance. “ okay then. They are good though. Uhh so you wanna just start walkin until we find a intreastin place or just pick a place an walk there ? “ he asked. Pension himself lived off of anything but water. He simplify did not like the taste. But he was in shape so that was not a problem. In fact he was know to just wonder around for hours at a time without stopping. He was not sure the boy would want to do that though. Pension would just normally just start walking and end up in one place or another. He just was not certain that they boy would want to do that. Maybe he was wrong though.

"First option sounds good to me. If we really need a direction to go I guess if you're interested could always wander in the general direction of the church I've been working on. Not really that much to see yet though. And I'm pretty sure your other side would be totally bored by it all, unless he wanted to take out some anger on a few nails and boards... but that's not exactly the impression I got from him. No offense to you of course but he felt more like the kind that would prefer to hit someone else with the hammer." Though it might be a good idea to avoid some of the darker areas of the woods. Even Aubri had heard of the tales of students and others who might wander in there and never get seen again. Aside from the dragons of course, and one or two of the teachers. Not that he was afraid... but he wasn't interested in running into any monsters out there.

Pension listened now as the boy spoke. He would be right to think that his other half would not care anything about a old church. But then again his other half did not like anything but violence and a few other things. “ heh okay. That is cool with me. Yeah I really do not think that he would really care about that. But to tell you the truth there are few things that he cares about. Hehhe yeah that would be a really bad idea to give him a weapon.” he said. He then heard his other half say” of course I do not care. And yeah if he gives me a hammer I would put it in his head.” pension kind of frowned at that and thought back “ well lets try to avid that .” he then smile to the boy. He was not worried about monsters. If they did try to attack he would probably just run. But there was his other half who would not take lightly to being attacked. So hopefully they would be able to avoid anything like that. “ so ready to go then?” he asked with a smile.

"Sure thing, let's start wandering. Heh, which is almost certainly at least going to lead downstairs since we're up here on the fourth floor. Glad it's down instead of up." Now he was just insulting himself needlessly but he figured it might keep the other side of Pension amused enough to stay quiet. "Lead the way." Beating the bad side once probably wasn't enough to make it completely go away around him, or make it act even the slightest bit respectful, but it was still progress. And hopefully he didn't do any real damage to Pension's hand, just a temporary muscle pull or something. He knew that wasn't too likely from the sound but it was his hope regardless.

Pension frowned slightly hearing the boy insult himself again. That could not be good for his self esteem. But it was making his other half laugh. If his wrist had not gotten hurt his other half would have had fun tormenting the boy. As it was he still made comments to pension “ hehehe I think he will get tired before we have even started. Hope you can carry him.” pen snorted as pension listened to the boy. He forced himself to smile at the boy as he thought “ well you now we would not want him to beat you again so stop.” that angered his other half but it remained quiet. Indeed on defeat did not mean that they boy won. It just meant that pen would get better at the game.” okay. Yeah it is easier to walk down stairs. This place is huge to be in such a small town though.” pension said. He hid the fact his hand hurt a lot still. It was not like he could go to the nurse without his other half going nuts. If there was one thing his other half did not like it was doctors. Mostly because they tried to keep him away with pill and shots. As pen said the only thing they were doing was making him worse.

"Yeah, wish I knew more about the history of this place. Would be pretty interesting, and would definitely be interesting to know why the town never got bigger if we've got this whole huge castle here. Not that I'm complaining, having a quaint town instead of a huge bustling city nearby has its advantages. What I've been told is that the headmaster's family owns a LOT of the area, including some of the town. Not just like a restaurant here and there but more property than that. Dunno if that's true, haven't bothered trying to ask them." And they were on their way, wandering to who knows where and what they might find. He'd never really done this honestly, he'd been out in the area for all sorts of reasons but never just to wander. That was likely how all the most interesting things were found though, just wandering around.

Pension smiled as he listened to the boy. It did not bother him that the boy did not know much about the school. That just made exploring funner. Maybe they could find something that not many others had noticed. He rather doubted it though. There were a heck of a lot of students who called this place home. “ yeah . That is a good question. Maybe they did not want to ruin the feel of this place. Heh cant says that I agree with you though. That may be just the be the fact that I is from a rather big city.” pension said. He actually would have preferred to be in the city. There things were easy to come by. Here it was a little harder to find things quickly. But on the other hand it was a lot quieter here. “ they do huh they must be kind or rich or somethin if that is true “ he said in response to the boys next statement. He heard his dark half give another rude comment. “ oh who the crap cares.” he snorted. Pension just tried to ignore him for now. He was sure to keep his pace slow enough to where the boy could keep up with him as they walked.

"Maybe it's just my heritage kicking in that says big open spaces are better than bustling cities. Well, either way it's here and so are we. Guess it kinda makes sense that the local dragon family's rich though. What I've heard about dragons in general is they're all either really wealthy or really poor." And Pen probably didn't care at all but maybe he'd start trying to figure out ways to get into trouble with that information. Drake and the others could certainly handle themselves if he did. Keeping up with Pension wasn't a problem yet, until he got winded he was actually pretty quick for someone his size.

Pension smiled at the boy slightly. There was a good possibility that it was probably his heritage that made him think that way. It was probably a good thing not to speak of the peafowl’s past though. He had to live on the streets for a while due to the fact that his parents no longer wanted him. It angered him to think that they would have a kid and just throw him out like some sort of trash. He forced the though to go away. He did not need to get upset. That would make pen come out. “ yeah it probably is. Hum really . I do not know that much about dragons myself. I mostly kind of keep to myself ever since the old couple decided to about me. If you could call it that.” pension said trying not to show his contempt for them too much. Indeed pen did not care. He was not about to go messing with something that could kill him.

"Sometimes it's nice to keep to yourself, but it's also a good idea to have at least a few friends you can fall back on if you need them. Never know when you might get into a jam and need that help, financially, physically, emotionally. Not like you have to hang out with them every single day either. Dragons just haven't made it up there on my list of people I'm eager to hang out with." He wondered if Pension had run into a lot of trouble when he wandered like they were doing now. Probably, but never enough to make him want to stop. Besides it was a fun way to spend a day.

Pension smile to they bot. He was actualy trying to like the boy. That was a big step for he normaly would not trust do to pen. Even now though pen hiss dark comments that no one would want to hear. suddenly pension stoped as a young female dog of some sort came around the conner. from the look of her he figured she was some hybrid thing. he did not really care for their kind. but he would keep that to himself for now . when she left he smiled to the boy and said "yeah pen makes me keep to me. but i never was good at making friends anyhow." he said with a frown. he then stared to walk again. he did get in to trouble sometimes but not alot of the time. he tried to keep out of trouble but his dark half was anouther story entirely.

"Never too late to start making friends though." And maybe he was the start of that. Aubri did like him, and Pen was tolerable so far. When you knew a personality was purely dark it was easier to shrug off what they said and did. At least to him it was, he knew it wasn't really meant by the true person. Pension deserved to have at least a couple friends around here, and Pen would eventually have to admit that a gryphon was good backup in a tight spot. Or maybe just fun to hang out with, either way.
