On a raining day a bright yellow taxi cap was driving up to the school ground. Rox was sitting in the back reading his "corgi cops" comic. He hat always like that comic, kind off was his dream if he could make it to the police academy, but because off his short height. Actually the more he was driving  closer and closer to the academy he was thinking about it would have been better back at the orphanage. It was just so simple. Wake up, eat cereal, do some work around the place do some cleaning  and look out for the kids so they do not get hurt, eat dinner and go to bed. It was so easy to do this  life. But he keep remember what her mothers letter say. "Get out there. Get a education. Get some new friends". 

"Well I can tell you. You are one lucky pup to get a place on a school like this. I tell you if I hat some parents whit 10 million dollars to spend on my education I would be better than just a taxi driver." The tiger driver talked to Rox and looked at the young pup reading his comic.

"well at least you know you parents. And at least you have memories. I first hear about my mother when she was dead and I have never heard about my dad and now there are some men looking around for me because off reason I do not know" Rox soft growl at him soft and put down his comic in his bag as he could see the driver was filling shame as he hat made the corgi tell how he ended in this cap. "I....I am sorry I snapped at you. I did not mean to tell you my sad story. I .... I just "

"It is okay  kid. I mad a big mistake. I do hope you  get a good education and you can be anything even become a cop" he said and wink at him as they drive up to  the school.

Rox looked out off the  high building and saw all the student sitting outside having  reading books having fun with playing some sport. "well thanks for the drive I hope you have a great day." He said and walk up to the door and walk in. He was informed to wait till one would came and pick him up. He took a seat in a sofa and waited till someone would come for him    

The headmaster had been ready to greet their newest arrival, but he also ensured that his brother would go out to tip the driver. It was kind of out of the way to be coming out to the school, certainly worth a little gratuity that the headmaster could easily afford. He'd tell his brother later it would be coming from the ebon drake's paycheck, see if it got a laugh, then probably have his taller and slightly stronger brother beat him up a bit for teasing like that. Meanwhile he straightened out his suit and walked toward the arranged meeting place. Ah, there he was, looked like a friendly sort.

"Welcome to Golden Oaks, I'm your headmaster Drake. So, I know that this place can be a little intimidating at first so I'll let you start by asking any questions you might have. Then we can take a little tour, set you up with everything you'll need like a room and your books, maybe grab a lunch at the cafeteria, and then if you have any new questions there should be plenty of time to answer them. Sound good to you?"

Rox look up at the tall headmaster coming down with a friendly smile on his face as he came over to him to great him. " Hello headmaster Drake. I am Rox Remon. I am sorry that my parents could not be here to greet you too but it is  a long story. " He said  looking a bit depress. It was not because she was to shy about the new  place but he was sure not use to stand on his own feet now. " that sound good to me I like to have a tour  around the place and lunch later. " He said  and reach down in his pack and  find a letter form his mothers friend. " but before  we start this is for you " he handed him the letter to Drake. In it was a check to pay for his stay and any other things that might be needed and a letter whit some story about him and his parents and the person that might be spying on the school to try to get to him.

"So what are some off the behavior rules? any rules off how late I can stay up? Also is there any special sports classes I could join?" He asked and blush a bit as he know he was not one off the tallest dogs he hat seen. But if he wanted to become a officer he needed to be the very best on physical  classes. He took a look around  the great hall and enjoy saw a group off  more masculine  guys walk back from outside with a football throwing it form  person to person 

"Thanks, I was expecting this." The headmaster slipped the letter into an interior pocket and smiled. "Behavior rules, well, it's suggested to be in your room before midnight and as long as you get to your first class you can stay up as late as you like. As far as sports, we've got a few that you're more than welcome to join. Both classes and teams, or smaller clubs. Hmm, so what's your goal, what would you like after you've finished school?"

The tour would start in a moment and go from floor to floor before heading back down to the cafeteria. Drake was actually curious what would be for lunch today, the naga that had been hired for their kitchen was a really decent cook and really quick. Not quite as fancy as some of the things his sister could make in town but still really good. He did see his latest student glancing over to a group, wondering if he'd like to put their tour on hold for a bit.

Rox gave a smile as he took the letter not sure if he or other teachers on the school hat something on him like where he came form who his mother and father was. To be honest maybe he should hat read the letter before he gave it to Drake, but it would not give any good impression off him to the man who was the headmaster. " Well that sounds good I try my best to keep up with that. And that sound great that I would have some time to work on my physical skills. And  for my future plans I would like to be one off the first police officer that is a corgi"

He did look at the boys walking into the bath. They sure did  look big  and could easy run faster and tackle him quick. But like he always said " it is not how big the dog in the fight. It is how big the fight in the  dog is". As they walked over to the  cafeteria and he did licked his lips soft  at the look at all the food. " So is it only lunch you get served down here or is it diner and breakfast too?" 

"Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, pretty much any time you're hungry you can come down here for a bite to eat. There might only be cold sandwiches left or other quick things but there's always food available. The best stuff just happens to come with lunch and dinner, heh. Hmmm, I think you'll be a fine officer. I'll say this. I've seen bigger, stronger, and faster guys that really didn't belong on the police force. So having someone with the right heart and mind, that's going to be a big plus for you."

Drake gave a grin and smirked, waving to the naga behind the counter. Perhaps twice as long as he was tall, and constantly moving to put out more food for everyone. "Take your pick, or if you want something special that isn't out, feel free to ask."

Rox smile and look at him as he hear that he hat some faith. "that sounds good that I can get some food all day. But I promise I be taking my classes" He licked his  lips and look at all the tasty things on the buffet. " but it is actually a good that you have some faith in my dream to become a cob. It is a good  thing to have the right heat and mind in education. But still it is not a bad thing if I have some athletic skills to show. But it is nice to hear one  that di not say you are to small, to weak or to slow to live the dream. " He said and give a little smile. 

He took a extra look down at the table and took a bowl off  fruit  and looked around to  find something to drink and he took a berry smoothie "so any jobs I could do to  help out on the school? I like to help out the best I can" he said and sit down  whit Drake  

"Hmm, let me think about that." Drake took an entire pepperoni pizza and a soda for his lunch, which surprisingly the naga quickly replaced with a fresh pizza. The headmaster glanced at his, slightly cool pizza, then at the fresh one. "Can I trade you?" He got a stern glare as a response and a spatula smacking his hand as he reached for it. "Okay okay, I'll finish this one first. Heh, well, let's see. A job around the school... well, you could talk to another student known as Verdy. He's a young green dragon that's almost completely taken over work in the gardens, mostly since our old gardener got sick, and hasn't had much time to get back to the flowers. Don't worry he's getting better and glad to know that someone's picking up the slack. Still, that might be an opening for you. Or if you're looking for something different, I think we might be able to work something out. Since you want to be a cop, maybe learning from school security?"

Rox could not let go  off a little laugh as he saw the headmaster get slapped over his paw as he try to trade. Rox set down and listen to what Drake said. " that might sound like a idea to go help in the garden. Also a chance to meet some off my future class mate. " He said. Even if gardening was not really his thing it was worth to try it. At lest he have something to do and maybe he could enjoy some alone time taking good care off the garden.
His big ear suddenly flick up as he heard Drake talk about him being a part off the security team. His tail was bashing form side to side hitting the chair  " That would be great to learn a bit about that. I promise to do what you say and be there when ever needed. " he said without even thinking maybe it would not be a thing they could do.   

"Heheh, some would say that if you got to know the green dragon that's the current gardener you'd want to take some sort of security class too. He seems to draw trouble to himself, thankfully it's very rare that trouble spreads past him, but he's had... I'd like to say four or five different beings that have wanted to eat him? Nothing recently that I've heard of but still, it's not exactly the best track record. He's pretty friendly though." The headmaster didn't mind if someone laughed at him getting smacked by the naga. Taking a few bites of his pizza, smirking. "I'm sure you'd do fine. Tricky part is finding out if you'd be better paired up with my brother the towering black dragon on security, or the much smaller snake. Officially the snake is in charge of security, mostly because he's incredibly sneaky even by my standards. So if he's that slippery then I know he can usually catch any students that are getting into trouble."

"hey that  might be a good idea. I might not jet have the skills to take him down as he is bigger. But I am sure I can talk him out off the problem and stand up to any guys that is going to kill them." He begin to eat up the tasty fruit salad and drink his  smoothie . He was thinking if he could talk him out off any problem  he dragoon might  run into. That might be the best way to do. Most off the time he could take down the smaller kids at the orphanage but most because he was the biggest off the kids. " I would  love to be teamed up with up with any of them that have time to train me up." He was not sure if a snake could even teach him anything. Well he could learn to be more sneaky  and Drakes brother could sure learn him many technical like how to take off some big   guy with self defense    

"I'll arrange a meeting for you with the two security guys. though if I know the snake he's probably already aware of the situation. He's got cameras and mics hidden all around the school, I've found maybe a third of them. Honestly don't even know where his security office is. Know it has some cool stuff in it, some of which is approved and some of it probably not so approved. Heh, first I think we introduce you to the gardener though so you have something simple to start with. Those security guys can be a little intense when they're on the job." Thankfully they didn't have to worry about that too often. Knowing that a towering dragon could arrive to settle any issue was enough to deter most of the students from causing problems.
