Drake smiled. "Alright then, if you ever think of anything you know you can stop by and ask. Oh, did you have any trouble navigating the school or was it pretty easy for you to find your way? I can give you a little tour if you like, or at least show you where your dorm will be." He was making every effort he could to get to know her a little better and show she could trust him, but it was slow to yield any actual results. There wasn't a mistrust that he could sense, just a lack of faith perhaps? Either way she wasn't giving him much to work with aside from his usual routine for a new student... maybe he could start considering that a clue about her personality.

That would be nice I came here first thing. "

"Alright then." the dragon said, standing up and offering a hand to help the new student off the couch. "First stop's the dorms so you'll know where you'll be staying. As good a landmark as any to go by right? Then I'll show you floor by floor where classes are, and the places to relax and have a little fun. Cafeteria and hospital wing will be in the tour or at least the basic directions to them, obviously don't have to stop by unless you feel sick or hungry. Come on, follow me. I'll just put a note on my office door letting people know I'll be right back." Good thing he kept a sign near the entrance so he could do just that, not that he needed it too often. Once the students were settled in they either rarely came to see him or came at very predictable times. Before one of Rook's tests, after one of his tests, before midterms, finals, the usual. And a couple that would stop by more regularly but not for school business necessarily.

Rhapsody rises and follows the headmaster thanking him for his polite offer of a hand.

Drake was happy to lead the way down from the loft and started toward the dorms. "Feel free to ask any questions along the way." Nothing was really a long walk for him but he was generally taller than most people, each stride making two or three of a normal student's steps at least. Come to think of it leading the way was kind of bad since he probably blocked at least part of her view, but he had to since he knew where he was going and she probably didn't. Now he just had to figure out which room to put her in before he actually got to the dorms. That, and try to set a good example if he saw anything that wasn't supposed to be happening going on in the halls.

Rhapsody follows her tail twitching nervously. She easily keeps pace with the tall dragon, her eyes dart left and right as she takes in every detail she can about the academy. Her new home.

Normally the sight of a male leading a female into the girls dorms wasn't exactly a highly acceptable sight. It usually meant he was going to sneak quite a few peeks into other rooms or they were planning on doing something they more than likely shouldn't be doing. This would be considered even more taboo if the male happened to be in any sort of position of authority, that's how a lot of rumors and disgraced losses of jobs happened. However for those that knew the headmaster, which was actually becoming a fair part of the student body, they'd be far more concerned seeing him in the boys dorms. Around here he might get a few stinging comments on being a sissy but those were usually the kids that wound up in detention anyway and figured one more day wasn't going to kill them.

"Let's see, ah, here's a good room for you. Only one other occupant so far, she's usually pretty nice, loves to study so probably won't bother you too much but she's still decent at making small talk. Her name's Emily, a nice wolf girl, will that be acceptable?"
