Physical Description:
Rook is a stocky, barrel chested older hybrid with broad shoulders and long claws, his left leg is left with a limp due to an old, badly healed war wound, as a result, he walks with a cane when traveling longer distances, using it more recently after recovering from a heart attack and a fall down the staircase. He was totally cool and fine with that by the way- and is in no way traumatized. Trauma is for treehugging sissies and anyone can tell by looking at Regulus Rook, that his not a sissy and practices no treehugging except when it is absolutely necessary.
The hair on his head is black, though graying slightly at the tips. It is long but well managed, usually kept neatly in a ponytail (of course he wouldn't keep it down, he isn't a dirty hippy after all- simply a man who admires long, well managed hair. Jeez).
He also tends to dress very neatly and formally, feeling distinctly out of place if his shirt doesn't have a collar or a set of buttons. If an on looker were to observe this personality trait, they might use words like "sharp" or "dapper", or conversely, "stuffy" or "cripplingly old fashioned". That onlooker would, in any case, be right. But they'd also be a critical asshole so...we won't dwell on him and will instead continue focusing on describing the physical characteristics of one Regulus Rook.
Rook's has a pelt of long, shaggy, solid gray fur which was once dark but has grown considerably lighter with age, though on the underside of his neck and belly, as well as on the bridge of his muzzle it is more of a bleached silvery color. His head is square and flat, with a short, whiskery snout like a wolverine but he has triangular wolf-like ears and a nose with a powerful sense of smell.
Under a heavy brow , his eyes are narrow, severe and silver, fitting the monochromatic nature of his character. They are always watchful and alert...except when he spaces out in long sessions of daydreaming for minutes on end. This is a recent development.
