Icey looked at the watch on her wrist.She was glad that it was not all that late yet.She did not like to be out that late.She could admit that she was having fun talking to the dragon.He seemed to be a nice guy so far.It was not often that adults were nice to young people and could talk to them without acting like they were stupid.''That is true you will not do something that you do not like.'' She said with a smile.

"The only down side is sometimes people think they won't like something so they never try it. A terrible shame considering how many potentially promising musicians, writers, singers, all out there going to waste because they don't want to try or put in any time or effort. Of course there are plenty who put in all the time they can and will never get much better too. I'm just glad to work with what I know now."

Icey knew that she fit in to that catagory.She did not really try alot of new things.She was afraid that she would get hurt if she messed up on things.She could be over cautoius at times.She was tring to get out of that habit though it was just really hard for her.She had been taught all her life that new things could be dangerous.''Sadly I could fall in to that catagory as I do not often like to try new things.'' She said. She was not afraid to admit things about herself that made her look bad.

"Well, you're able to admit it. That kind of puts you a step above most people who feel that way. It means you're actually able to change if you want, and if you ever want to try anything new just be sure you've got a decent teacher around. Like me if you want to do anything with art. Or say, Rook if you want to try something with literature. A good teacher and you don't have to worry about failing and being ridiculed, but if you're not cut out for it you also don't need to fret too much about the whole wasting time thing. A good teacher will let you know if you've got great skill, some skill, or no skill and help you with whatever direction you want to take that in. The best can even take those with no skill and manage to turn them into experts, heh. Just need to know your limits and how far you can push them."

Icey had never really though of the fact that she was above someone just because she could admit when she would not do something.She was just honest about herself.She knew that if she was not then she would have to try to live a lie.That would be something that she could never live with. Icey smiled back to the dragon. She really had not taken the time to learn the names of all the teachers.''I have never though about that.I may do that sometime though right now I think I have enough to try to do humm.'' She said with a slight gigle.

"Heh, fair enough. Just keep it in mind. Now, let's see... another ten minutes or so and I'll just about have the head done here." Blake was thankful he was able to talk and carve at the same time, it certainly made demonstrations a lot easier. The only bad part was if he allowed himself to get too distracted and wound up running the gouge straight into his own hand. That generally wasn't much fun, he'd almost lost a finger once that way.

Icey watched the dragon as he worked in the scupture.She though that he must have been very good at what he did to be able to mutitask like that.She hoped that she was not bothering him too much.She found that watching him was not all that bad.It was kind of intresting really.The fact that he could chip away at the stone without breaking the whole thing was kind of intresting as well.''Really that is cool.'' she said .

"Thanks. Heh, I think I'd be really embarrassed if I made a mistake on this though. After all I've got not only the picture but you're sitting right next to me. I'd better be able to get the details right." Blake switched to a different tool as he started working on facial features for the little statue. So far it was all going really smooth, the stone was working quite nicely and didn't have any flaws yet.

Icey knew that it would have to be kind of embressing to mess up on something that you are good at doing.She often felt like that when she messed up on her music.She was glad that her sitting here seemed to help him a little. She really was not all that worried about him messing up or anything.After all if he did she would not complain.She knew the fact that no body was perfect.''I could imagine that would be kind of emberssing.Not to worry though i would not make fun of you if you did.'' she said watching the dragon work.

"Thanks, and I'll do my best not to disappoint. It might not end up being perfect but it'll be my best." And he was doing a pretty decent job already. The figurine was turning out nicely and he already had a part finished. There were still a few hard parts he'd have to get through though, but in general it didn't look too bad.

Icey smiled to the dragon.She was not a very picky creature.After all he had been the one that offered to make her a sculpture in the first place.In her mind that gave him the right to make it how ever good or bad he wanted.From what Icey could tell though it seemed that he was doing a pretty good job on it so far.She looked out at the sun as it was just starting to set. It was kind of pretty though. Icey used to live by a lake so she had seen her share of pretty sunsets. She now looked back at the dragon.''It dose not have to be perfect.If everything was perfect then the world would be a very dull place to live.'' She said as she watched him work. She could tell that he seemed to be working hard on it so far. She however was not in a hurry.

Well he definitely had to agree on that point. And he should probably take a break for now, considering he just slipped a bit and almost got his thumb with the gouge. "Yeah, guess you're right. And the sun's getting down to the point where if I keep this up much longer you'll have a bit of blood on your carving, wouldn't look as nice, heh. Pretty sunset though." Almost wished he could paint it but by the time he got everything set it would be gone.

Icey would not want the dragon to hurt himself. There was always plenty of time to work on it after all.She would feel bad if the dragon hurt himself working on something for her. She looked at the sunset again.It was very pretty indeed. She loved the way that the sunsets looked at times.''Well I would not want you to hurt yourself.I think that it is pretty as well.'' She said.Soon it would be dark though.That was one time that Icey would not want to be outside.

"Yeah, but it's about time we get back into the school. I wouldn't complain to a bit of help carrying all my art supplies in, but you don't have to." There was a lot he managed to bring out. Somehow every time things needed to go back they were always harder to carry or place though, taking something out was so much easier. Except when it was, say, at the bottom of a box or anything like that, but then it was just as frustrating to try and put back.

Icey smiled knowing that the dragon was right.She would soon need to get back to her dorm.Icey would not really mind helping the dragon put his things away.She wondered how many trips he had to make just to get it all out here in the first place.Icey had always been the kind of creature who would do about anything to help anouther out.It was the least that she could do anyhow since he was being so nice to her. '' Okay then. I would not mind helping you at all. Just tell me what you would like for me to carry.'' she said. Anouther good thing was that it would also give her something to do besides sit in her dorm.
