Golden Oaks History
Foxford, Washington State the whole place seems to run at a snails pace and it's the very definition of a tiny American town, not much to see, not all that much to do.
Isolated in a soft green patch amidst a treacherous mountain range rests the Academy, a recent establishment built on the old ruins of an ancient castle.
Golden Oaks Academy was originally built and owned by an eccentric plantation owner. It took his workers years to complete the project and the result was a majestic feat. However, after the Civil War the castle was left in ruins, just the base and underbelly unmolested and left to ruin amidst the beautiful, but brutal landscape.
Many years later the land was bought again by a group of entrepreneurs looking to start a very prestigious private academy.
They rebuilt the entire castle in a modern fashion , and fine tuned what had been left of the ancient foundations.
The partnership that had owned the school eventually split up and left it disbanded out in the open, completely abandoned except for a caretaker for years to come.
The land was bought again by Drake, an enormously successful former student who remembered the castle fondly.
He remodeled both it's architecture and it's standards, opening it's doors to whoever seeks knowledge within it's walls.
The school has been put under a strange amount of pressure by outside forces over the years, arousing suspicion in both law enforcement and baffling local Foxford citizens, strange cries at night, fires flickering in the woods from afar and uneasy rumors.
Though this hasn't dissuaded parents from sending their children there, nor has it discouraged desperate college students from applying.
With Drake's immense wealth and force of will, he finally achieved his great ambition to provide a place for young anthros to learn in the finest fashion, regardless of who they were, what species, or where they came from.
However, the castle itself holds as many mysteries as the people who populate it.- - -ooc; Codeword: Mark
