"Well, I was wondering how the whole wings thing would come into play for you. Like fencing, having a huge wingspan might cut down on some of your mobility, or might improve your balance even more. And if you can't fence anymore if that turns out to be the case, which do you really want more? A skill or a natural born talent? Or maybe start something new, air fencing? And what if the wings don't quite come back the way we'd hope, if they only came back as little tiny wings that can't really do much? Would you want to risk having them removed again? It's an outside chance and I hate to be giving all the negative thoughts but it's only fair to consider them as well as the possible benefits." They were relatively keeping pace with Tan, but still a little further behind.

Those were the kind of worries Tan had, but shi didn't really worry too much about it. There was one thing that none of them were even considering- Even if shi had hir wings back, would shi try to fly again or stay grounded?
"It's all very logical of what your concerned about. I understand I do, but remember it was Mav who brought up bringing them back. If it works and brings some form of wings back, its fine, even if they come out leathered and scaled. It would just turn into another attribute. If they end up smaller than my original wings were, that's fine, I could live with that. If they don't grow back at all, all the same."
Shi slowed hir pace down by this point, letting them catch up to hir easier.
"One thing you must understand, I may have lost my wings in the past, but it was my choice with lack of options. I'm a bird with clipped feathers, I've learned to accept this.. I've learned to live with it. I know there are lots of different outcomes for a wanted result. I've learned years ago how to get around my handicap and even if it doesn't work I'll still be able to. If it does, well.. Then I'll have to hone my fighting style in fencing to move even quicker."
Shi drew quiet during the last part, deliberately going around the obvious fact of why most would want to see hir with wings again. To see hir fly.

"Heh, well as long as it doesn't bother you then it's all okay with me." They managed to catch up and smile, hoping the conversation hadn't become too awkward between them. "No matter what you're still going to be training us in fencing right? You're not getting off the hook that easily, heheh, no we need someone good to teach us even if you do end up handicapped for a while. Just means we might finally get a win or two on you in the long run."

Shi couldn't help but smile when the last comment was made. Talking about the wings did make things a little awkward, but all the same they were still going to be hir friends and shi'll still teach them on fencing.
"Heh you'll have to try pretty hard to win one against me, but I can take it easy on you until you guys get better at it. Though... I hope you guys don't mind me saying..."
Shi paused for a second as shi looked at them then straight ahead as shi kept walking.
"If one of you is more interested than the others about fencing, it'd be easier to learn when one is in control at all time for that session. Like Luke, you want to learn more than Mav and Rod correct? Stay the main focus until you feel confident. If you two want to learn to be coordinated all the same way, you'll have to do seperate sessions. It'll be like teaching to three different people, but you'll all eventually learn to coordinate eventually move as if all of you were a single mind. At least, that's how I see it. And we don't even have to practice during fencing class, we can just come out here and pratice as well. All my classes are early in the week then I get four days to myself... Kinda why I became so good. Heheh even when my body was sore and aching I still practiced until I couldn't stand. My determination was for a completely opposite reason for what you guys are wanting to do though."
Shi gave a half chuckle, half laugh. Hir reasons for doing things were completely different than what a normal beings could be. Tanshin never wanted to be grounded but yet in some way it was meant to be.

"Well I guess that makes sense. If we all try to train then we'll all have to think on our own and all try to match the coordination of the others to keep up with the lessons. So it might be better to teach us one at a time. And training out here is fine, less stressful and fewer people to judge us if we keep screwing up, heh. But we'll worry about all that later, school's just ahead and we're either going to have to sneak back in or take the main gate." Not that it really mattered, it wasn't like they were after hours or anything. Luke just wasn't eager to see half a dozen people from the fencing class standing around in the locker room suddenly hooting and doing obnoxious cat calls if they suddenly came in.

Smiling as they were nearing the edge of the woods, Tanshin's mind was just all over the place. Shi wasn't sure of what shi needed to be thinking or anything of the sort. Talk of getting to train someone the art of fencing and possible wings again, hir mind was bouncing in every which way. Not to mention that shi was excited to talk to the headmaster again! He seemed nice and seemed happy to greet others of all kinds, but that could just be a front around others. Not to say that Tanshin was worried about it, shi just didn't know how to go about asking if he knew of ways that wings could be reproduced. Then again, shi wasn't exactly alone either...
"Well, you think the class would still be in the locker room we can go through the side gate. There's a small side gate that leads to a little garden and just a couple of stories up is the headmaster's office. Eh... how well can you guys climb or would you rather use the stairs?"

"Actually we're pretty decent at climbing. The garden entrance sounds better to us. Wait, you mean instead of walking up the stairs we should go up the outside of the tower to the headmaster's office?"

Rod grinned. "Leave it to me guys, you both know I'm great at doing the crazy stuff and climbing like that is definitely on the list of crazy things. Besides I don't think we've ever actually been to the gardens. Is it okay if we take a few minutes to appreciate it before heading to see the headmaster?"

"Rod we've seen the gardens and they're very impressive for the school, especially what we got to see of the rose garden section. You were probably asleep at the time though, if I remember right you said something like, "I need a nap more than I need to walk through a bunch of flowers." Now that we're with someone you like they actually interest you?"

"Hey I'm allowed to change my mind, and I don't even remember saying anything like that so maybe it was just you Mavvy. Wouldn't be surprised if you went walking around the school while we were asleep." Rod blinked and turned his attention to Tanshin. "We probably forgot to mention that part. One or two of us can actually be asleep and the last head can have full control even if we're a bit sluggish sometimes in that state. So, as far as we know, we could potentially just keep going if we had to and rotate who was awake and who was sleeping, just let our body keep up with everything and never need to properly go to bed. We haven't tried it though."

Tanshin just gave a polite as Luke talked then grinned real big once it sunk into his mind that they may just climb. The reaction was actually quite funny. One of these days shi would have to try and get the same flabbergasted expression again.
"Well, if you don't want to climb its fine we can still walk through the gardens..."
Shi fell quiet as they began to talk among themselves. Being able to literally sleep walk in a subconscience state whether one head was awake or all three half asleep was truly unique.
"Well if you want to admire the garden you can, I can go on up and get the headmasters attention while you do that."
Shi teased. Tanshin liked the gardens, but those were hir playing grounds when others were not around... and when shi grew bored of absolutely nothing to do. Shi enjoyed letting the feline out once in a while.
"Well come on, can't stay out here all day... I mean.. we could but that would just make things a little weird."
Shi chuckled as shi practically bounced to the gate and opened it as shi ran in a circle around a tulip patch before shi stopped to look at them, ears perked forward as shi watched. This was new and different, hir hyper attitude wanted to turn on in full but shi tried keeping it contained. Last thing shi needed was to freak them with just exactly how much energy shi had for just one day. Running and fencing and swimming were just a few of the various ways shi tried to get rid of hir abundant energy.

"Heh, well if you want to climb ahead of us then go ahead, we'll enjoy the gardens for a little bit and we can catch up with you if the headmaster's in his office up there." Rod grinned as he saw the energy of Tanshin, wondering how such a creature with so much energy could possibly want to hang around with them. They had plenty of energy sure, they could move when they had to, but the hydra was nowhere near as quick and overflowing with vigor and enthusiasm. They just weren't built to be "explosive energy" as much as Tan was, but it was still so great to see hir. "Hey, what's your favorite flower anyway?"

Grinning from ear to ear as shi was told to go on ahead, quickly turned around started for the wall of the castle. Stopping only for a moment to think about what kind of flower shi liked.
"I like them all really, but black lotus and blood orchids are among my top favorites."
Shi gave a playful and darted to the wall, practically running up the side for five feet before latching on with hir claws and scurrying up the rest of the way. If hir ability to climb at a ninety degree angle wasn't impressive enough to make anyone jealous or to pine for hir, then absolutely nothing would be that impressive. Hir breeding allowed hir to climb at just about any angle, but to run up so many feet and continue to climb with speed was never an easy feat ofr any creature. Normally Tanshin would have taken a little longer to get half way already, but the amount of energy shi withheld was almost insane. Perhaps shi needed to go climb a mountain. Somehow shi needed something to calm hir down or at least get rid of some of hir energy in a safer way. Everything shi did was more a risk than anything.

Luke got a little scrap of paper out of their pocket and a small pencil, jotting down the two "top of the list" favorite flowers. Then they saw hir running up the wall and climbing up so quickly, extremely impressed. "Right, Rod, next time we're in town you buy these flowers or their seeds. And you get them for hir as a present. It's really hard to screw up when you're handed a perfect gift idea."

"Hey, if we start a whole gift exchanging thing it might freak hir out. I've been too forward already, we're already potentially exchanging blood or something, so we're holding off on gifts for a little while I think. Don't want to be too overwhelming, you're the ones that keep telling me that after all."

"Oh my god, did you hear that Luke? He can be taught!"

Luckily the hybrid was well out of hearing range. Otherwise shi would have probably fallen off the side of the building after hearing the comments made. It was one thing to receive the regular comments of how cool and lucky and pretty/handsome shi was. But to receive a gift would be something entirely different. The hybrid may seem smooth and calm when talking face to face, but on the inside shi was scared to death to get close to others. Of course there was the course where shi could give the hydra a chance as they knew of hir... abnormality. Made it less awkward, but still awkward.
Reaching the headmaster's balcony, shi knocked on the window as shi remained sitting on the banner. Hopefully shi wasn't interrupting anything... yet..
"Headmaster Draaaaake! Headmaster Draaaaake!"
Shi called out for him in a kiddish singsong way. Hopefully he was in. Shi wasn't exactly too eager to peer through his balcony window just to find him doing something that would scar hir for life.

The headmaster wasn't doing anything that might be scarring, unless seeing a twelve foot tall dragon headmaster in a baking apron making cookies and muffins was scarring. Hearing the tapping and the call from outside his balcony Drake set the oven on low heat and dusted his hands free of flour and strolled over to the balcony's sliding door. "Oh, Tanshin, hello. Heh, you know I do have a front door too right? Come on in, what's on your mind?" Sliding the door open for hir and smiling, the headmaster gave hir plenty of room to enter or to at least hop down off the edge.

Meanwhile down below the hydra was looking up to the tower after hearing the singsong kiddish way Tanshin called for the headmaster, two of the three giggling and the third grinning from ear to ear. Shi was certainly an interesting one in everything shi did, they could all agree to that.

Well if it wasn't an embaressing moment, then all was well. Besides, with as carefree as Tanshin was it would be some time before shi would embaress hirself again.
"Hehehe, hi headmaster."
Shi looked up at him, giggling a little as shi looked at him in his cooking apron.
"Come on up when your ready guys."
Shi hollered down to them with laughter in hir voice as shi turned around to face Drake.
"Heh sorry about that. Yeah I know, I just thought it would be fun to scale the wall, besides its the first time I've done it to come talk to you."
Shi hopped off the banner and walked into Drake's office. Shi didn't speak of the blood sharing just yet as shi didn't know how shi wanted to ask it just yet. Shi figured shi could just wait until the hydra makes it up one way or another.

"Oh it's alright. So you've got a friend coming up too? Well I look forward to his or her visit, and while we're waiting feel free to make yourself comfortable. I was kind of in the middle of making some snacks actually, so you've got almost perfect timing if you like white chocolate chip cookies and assorted berry muffins with a cinnamon crumble topping."

Oh if only the hydra had heard what the snack was that would be waiting they would have been up that wall in a heartbeat. As it was they looked up the sizable distance and started to climb, slipping once or twice as they got used to the stones and began building momentum. And another slip halfway up that had their claws slipping down and chipping against the solid rock a little. "Rod you said you were good at this." "I am just shut up and let me climb. Either that or do me a favor, use your MOUTH as an anchor on that spot there so I can get us up further. Won't help us too much but it'll shut you up." "And the more you two argue the more I have to try and balance us. We can heal cuts but remember we're not invincible and I'm not eager to see how fast or slow we heal from a fall at this height."

Drake heard the arguments coming from outside his window and smiled. He knew exactly who was coming now, even if he hadn't really met the student before. "You make some very interesting friends Tanshin. Maybe I should go out and haul them up the last few feet before they break something, like the railing on my balcony."
