"You'll always have a place here, you can be sure of that. From me, the headmaster, or anyone lse you might meet I'm sure you'll be welcome here for a very long time." Of course he was saying that because he felt that Claws was a good kid and the kind of person that really would stay welcome, but if he ever did anything too far out there maybe not. But then again with how forgiving the headmaster was, even if he did do something bad he'd probably still be welcome.

Claws kind of smiled at the snake again. He was glad that people around here seemed to be so kind and understanding. He knew that there was places where you were not so accepted unless you acted just liked they thought you should. That was the way the orphans home was for him. Though claws could say that he could hold his own against those who tried to harm him. He was faster then most and knew how to avoid actually hitting some one. You see if you tired you foe out you had a lot better chance of actually beating them. Pulse claws could fly due to the fact he had taught himself how. He would climb on things and jump down flapping his wings to stay in the air. Though often he ended up falling on his face. At least he had learned how unlike a few others he had seen. “ ahh ……thank ……..you. …….It …….is ……always ……good …….to ……..have …..a……. place …..to ……turn …..back ….to. ……From ……what …….I ……hear …….everyone ……..here ………seems ……nice. …….You …….don’t ……..see ……..a ……lot …….of……. places ……like ……that” the falcon said with a smile. He had been to his share of bad places. He had also been to places where others were only your friend if you did something for them. So far though this did not seem to be either of those. This is what he liked to call one of those friendly hole in the wall kind of towns. Where everyone knew and respected one another. And everything was simply nice and quiet and relaxed.

"Thanks. So, have you been all over this area or have your travels taken you to other countries as well?" He knew both good and bad areas to go to in quite a few places all across the country, not quite so many abroad but still a few. It had been his job after all, and if he ever had to he could call in a favor, or a threat, to keep the kid safe some time in the future. Since it was likely he'd just be staying in Golden Oaks himself for the rest of his life, well, probably anyway. Too many other areas he'd end up in trouble if he walked the streets too openly.

The falcon still held the slight smile on his face as the snaked asked his question. It was not a question that he was asked very often. The fact was that claws had traveled across quiet a few states in this country but had not really gone to any other countries. For one thing he did not have the money to do anything like that. And really he had not explored all of this one yet so had no real desire to go to another one. “ well…….. I…….. have……. Traveled ………quiet …….a ……..bit ……but ……not …..in ……this …….particular………. area…….I ………have …….been …….working ……on…….. school and things …..a……. lot …….since . ………I have just………. got here …………not to long ……..ago…….. I have never ……..been to ……….another country…… though. I do…… not ……..have ……money …….for …….that ……..sort …….of ……..thing. “ he said with a smile. The falcon was not the kind who ever got in to trouble. He tried not to hang around other who wanted to do nothing but drink and party. That was not claws thing. He would rather just talk and hike and things like that.

"If you ever consider it, I know a few people including myself that would happily get you the money to travel abroad. But it's good to stay in the states, nothing wrong with this part of the world really. Well, okay probably lots but if you find the right places they're all good." Oh he could definitely afford to send someone across the globe but he couldn't go with them. Same was probably true for half the dragons in the area. "Besides we're glad to have you here."

The falcon gave the snake a smile when he said that others might pay for it if he ever wanted to go to another country. He really did not like for others to do things like that for him. While he knew it was out of kindness he felt as if he would never be able to pay them back. Besides he was happy just being in his home country for right now. That and the fact that he was going to have to learn a few more languages before he went to other countries. “ I …….will ……..keep ……that ……..in ……mind. ……Yeah ………I ……….am ……..happy ……..just ……..exploring ……around …….here …… really……. Yeah ……..it …….is …….a …..pretty ……nice …….land ……….to live ……in ……that’s …….for …..sure…….. I …….am ……glade ………for ….that” the falcon said with a smile. It always felt good to be accepted in a new place. And for now it looked like the traveling falcon was going to be staying here for a while. After all he had not explored all of this town yet. So that was a very good reason for him to stay around for a little while. Along with the fact that he had school to attended and a new friend to talk to also gave him more reason to want to hang around.

Athos smiled, finishing everything he had in his cup and on his plate. "Good. Well, I should probably be checking in on everything, even if it's my day off I'd like to know how much work I have ahead of me tomorrow. Just in case anyone was slacking off today, heh. I'm sure they weren't but you never know, and some of the others just aren't as thorough as I am. Heh, then again if they were all working really hard today I might be able to take tomorrow off as well." Oh that would be rare, having two days off in a row. He'd almost never had that here since he started, it would be a pleasant change.

The falcon just kind of smiled as he too finished his own drink. The falcon himself was going to have to get back to his dorm for the evening he had had fun thought talking to the snake. He smiled as he listened to the snake speak. The falcon kind of got the impression that the snake was one of those who were very passionate about their work. This was both a good thing and a bad thing. Good because that meant that one would do their jobs to the fullest. Bad because one could be a little too in to their jobs. Not that the falcon thought that About the snake. “ yeah ……heh …….I …….can ……..understand ……..that …….one. ……..I ……am …..going ……. to……. Have ……to ……….get ……..back …….to my ……….dorm ……and …….finish ……..my …..home …… … work…. Anyhow.” he said with a slight smile on his face. Claws may not like being around other but he did take great pride in doing his homework as good as he could. He did not ever want to look like he was lazy or stupid.

"Good plan. Hope you don't have anything too challenging waiting for you as far as homework goes. No projects or anything, well, I'm pretty sure I know you don't have any projects yet because I've tried to memorize the schedules of all other professors so I don't give one at the same time if I can help it, and certainly never give the same due date. Can't properly focus on any one thing if they're both big and both due at the same time." Sometimes Athos thought he was a bit too nice to be a professor, other times he was glad he went easy on students in class so he could be more "menacing" as security. If you could get the "nice" teacher mad you knew you were crossing the line.

One good thing about claws was the fact that he almost never caused trouble with any of his teachers. The only thing he might do was come in late because he had slept in a bit too late. He was one of those who always tried not to cause trouble because he did not see the logic in doing things like that. Where most thought that the pranks kids liked to pull were funny claws just found them kind of pointless and sometimes just down right rude. “thanks……. Not…….. It…… not …….nothing …….really ……..hard. …..Just …….a …..bit ……of ……writing ……to …….do. ……No …I ……try…… to…… get ……..my …….projects….. done… as…… fast ……as……. I……. can…….. I ……don’t ……like…… to ……..Waite …….till …….the ……last……… minute ……then …….just ……cram ………something …….together. …….Yeah….. that …….dose……. make it……. …….hard …………to ……..concentrate…….. when ……you ….get…….. a ….bunch ………of …….things ……due…….. all…….. at …… ….the………. same… ….. time.” claws said with a smile. Claws was not the kind who slacked off on his work. If he had something that he had to get done he did it as soon as he could and as good as he could.

"Good to hear, and thanks for the support. And if you ever happen to need help with any homework I'll be around. Heh, might not be my class but I probably know the answers anyway, some of the teachers here are very predictable and use the same questions year after year. Makes it easy for kids to cheat if they know someone so I always change my tests and homework around a bit." It was just about time to temporarily say goodbye to Claws but it had been a good day, one he would certainly remember for quite some time.

Claws gave the snake a smile as he heard him speak. Indeed it was getting close to time for the falcon to say good bye to the snake for the evening. They had had quiet a good day though today. He certainly would not be forgetting it any time soon. Claws was happy that he made a friend like the snake . He was more then happy too help him in any way that he could. “ heh…. Your…..welcome ……okay ……I ……will ……keep …….that ….in …….mind. ……Heh ……yeah …..a ……lot ……of …….them ……do ……in ……other …..places …..as ….well.” claws said with a smile . He certainly would not mind the help with his home work one in a while. He had time when he really needed help and had to try to guess about what he tried to put down on his work. so it was always good to have some one around to help you out.

The snake smiled, standing and walking over to the falcon's side. He offered a hand not only to help him up but also to shake in goodbye for the evening. If he was going to be Claws' friend he wanted him to be completely comfortable around him after all. This was sort of a test, and a good way to part for the evening, leaving his cousin to slither over later and clean up the table if necessary. "I'll look forward to seeing you around."

The falcon watched the snake as he got up and walked over to his side of the table. He sort of hesitated when the snake offered his hand. he was not used to touching others that often. that was anouther part of his very shy nature. atleast though this snake was differnt from the others. he felt that he could relax while he was around the snake. and that was rare for the falcon. However the falcon accepted it and stood up from the table and shook the sakes hand. He had actually gotten more relaxed around the falcon since he had met him this morning. That was actually a big step for the falcon. “ yeah …….I …….look …….for …….ward ……….to …….seeing …….you …….as ……. well” the falcon said with a smile. And now he begin a trip back to his dorm.
