"Sounds good to me. And that's probably a good idea, least we'll know where to avoid the path next time." Rod was sort of cut off from further conversation as the waitress returned with their food and a pitcher of water so they could refill their drinks without waiting again. "Thank you, it looks great."

Maverick waited for the waitress to head off, giving Vixi a chance to comment to her as well before he picked up the conversation. "Since Roderick's probably going to have his mouth full for a bit guess it's my turn to talk mostly. But we've been asking most of the questions so far, figure it's your turn to ask anything you want to know right? If you even want to know anything about us." And hopefully she wasn't interested in their schedule or anything that would put them in danger later on. Then again he could always lie if she needed to know something about them that he didn't feel comfortable giving out... as long as Roderick didn't decide to correct him on the issue.

Vixi smiled as she heard what the boy said. Then she gave the waitress a slight smile and said “ thank you. It dose look good” the waitress merely smiled. She then walked off quickly. Vixi got the impression that she did not wish to be around them any longer then she had to be. She supposed it was an odd sight to see a hydra in a small town like this. It was probably even odder to see a stranger talking to him as well. Vixi now smiled as the other head spoke. Hum he wanted her to ask him questions now. Well vixi really was not one to ask questions to others. She mostly listened to what others had to say unless she really wanted to know something. Then she would find out what she wanted to know either by just asking or forcing them to tell her what she wanted to know. But that rarely happened considering that vixi never need to know much about her victims. She supposed though she could ask him what he was studying or something like that without causing too much trouble.


She now turned to the boy and said “ hehe okay. So … you say that you go to school right? So if you do not mind telling what are you studying for ? Or is it just a way to learn a bit more so you can find a good job? “ she asked pausing for a second as she thought of how to word her question. She was not the best at keeping a conversation going. She tried though but it seemed that every time she did it always ended up going to awkward silence after a few seconds. Though vixi did not mind making others feel awkward . That is what she was best at after all.

"Actually it's interesting you should ask that. Interesting to me at least, heh. Each of us has a bunch of courses we're taking, which led to all three of us taking, well, every course the school has. I'm primarily studying to be a psychologist and psychiatrist, and a couple other things possibly. Maverick's got his own path he's taking, same with Roderick. One would like to be a doctor and vet, the other... this is terrible of me but I forget, heh. I usually tune out when they're in the classes I don't need. Best time to take a nap sometimes." This was probably the most Luke had actually talked to her.

"So nice of you to completely forget what we want to do Luke. Well, least you got two out of three of us." Rod managed to hold back on any further arguments by taking a few bites of his lunch. It was about time Luke was nice and spoke up anyway.

Vixi listened now to the whispers around them. She could hear the crowd talking about random things. Vixi was used to hearing other conversations though. It made it easy for her to find out rather anyone was talking about her or not. Vixi now took a bite of her salad as she listing to the left head talk. It was rather surprising to hear that he had several different career choices. She figured that he would just do one thing or something. Oh well that is what she got for thinking she supposed. She then heard the right head comment on what his brother had said. It was rather amusing that they would argue like that. But she expected such things from brothers . Heck if she was not a killer and knew her better she would be the same way towards her sister. In a way she hated her sister was with wanting to kill her and all. Though to tell the truth that was more revenge then actual hate. Revenge on her parents anyhow. Her sister was just an unfortunate victim of her hate.

She now gave the boy a smile as she tried to make herself stop thinking about her sister. Yes right now she wanted to keep her focus on him . Though with her scattered thought process this was not an easy task for her to do. But she had to admit she was finding this kid more and more interesting. Maybe she could find a way to use him. Though she knew to do that she would have to gain his trust . She knew with her dark attitude that would be hard as well. That did not stop her from trying and acting like she was interested in them. “ hum really? Hehe that is interesting . Seems like that would be a good choice if you can learn to deal with the crazy people out there.” she said with a smile. She did not care for those who were doctors of anything much less those who dealer with the mental disturbed, that was mostly because she herself was that way. And she was afraid that if anyone found her to be crazy the would want to send her away. And that would be worse then going to prison because they would give her mind numbing drugs and things like that.

"Heh, yeah but imagine how it'd have to work for us. Try being at three different jobs at the same time and it's not going to work too well. Even if we owned a place for the businesses, like a vet and hospital in one, with a psychiatry room, and everything else we want to do on the side, still can't be everywhere at once. So really we have no idea how we'll end up in the whole job situation but at least it'll be nice to have options."

Maverick smiled wondering what that would be like, treating an animal one moment then going in to do some surgery, followed by some therapy for a different kind of patient. "All that's still a long time off, and we have to pass all our classes to get there. Which is why we're lucky to have Luke, heh. Sure he says he takes naps in our classes but half the time he's learning more than we are. Heheh, I remember one teacher we had would put two tests in front of us every time even though only me or Rod was in the class, just so Luke would take his own exam and not try to cheat and give us answers. Was actually a pretty good idea."

"Someone had to make sure we got through high school and into college. And someone had to take all the hard courses and tough exams so we could look intelligent as a group even if only one of us is fully applying his knowledge. I have limits though, it's part of why I like psychology actually. Spent several days with no sleep because I really was doing all the work, all the thinking, and never slept. Ended up collapsing after a while but before I did I was seeing things."

Vixi smile to the boy as he spoke. She had many more questions that she could have aske3d him if she had wanted to. She could have asked him if one got sick or if they all got sick. But vixi was not really interested in any of that. All she wanted was to keep him happy and keep herself distracted from the thought of killing him. Though that was a task easier said then done. Vixi could get the urge to kill him still even here in the crowed restaurant. It was not like anyone would see her do it. She forced that thought away from her mind though. At the moment she would try to respite killing him until the got closer to the woods. If she killed him out there then they would think that ac wild beast did it. And make no mistake vixi can make her murder scenes look like such things. She had to keep the dark smile from her face as that thought came to mind. After all she did not want him to think that she was planning something until the last second. Because then it would be to late fro him to react anyhow . Or so she hoped it would. She had to wonder what would happen id she were to become a victim herself. Would anyone have the never to kill a killer? Or would they just run instead and leave her to die?

Vixi now tried to force those thought out of her head. She did not want to accidentally say something while talking to him.” yeah that would be hard to do. Heck I have trouble focusing on one thing at a time mulches three or more. Hehe yes at least you have options that is more the what most have.” she said to the right head. Then she turned to the middle head and said “ heh well with luck you will pass them. Sounds like you are lucky indeed” she then turned to the left head “ ahh you sound like you were busy then. At least it will pay off one day.” she was happy listing to him talk about his future. But what he did not know is that he would not have a very bright future if he stayed near her for very much longer. Though for now he was still entertain to her.

"True, guess it's possible while one or two of us might be experts at something there could be a lack of job openings for both of those career paths. So eventually our choices might be made for us." Maverick was back to talking while Rod ate the salad and chicken, apparently enjoying it. Luke buried his nose back in his book, but at least he did make some conversation with Vixi. "How about you? What do you usually do for work? Is it what you always wanted to do?" Mavvy knew he was probably pushing a boundary with that question but even if she lied it could help him get a better sense of what kind of person she was. He just hoped if a line was crossed she wouldn't act on it too soon while the others weren't ready.

Vixi listened as the boy spoke . She also took another bite of her salad. Yes he did have a few options so that was an advantage she supposed. All that he had to do was find something that they all three could enjoy doing right? She thought so at least though she knew that she could be wrong . “ that is right , it is always nice to have options hehe.’’ vixi said with a slight smile. Then she heard what the boy said next. Well that certainly made her darker thoughts start up again. After all she loved killing for a living. Though she knew that she could not tell the boy that. So she tried to force such thought out of her mind so that they would not be stated when she spoke. Vixi had a bad habit of doing that once in a while.

Vixi gave a frown as the boy spoke. He had just asked the one question that she did not want him to ask. However she would try to hide the fact that it bothered her too much. so now she replaced her slight frown with a smirk. She had top think just how to respond to him. After all she had figured that if she said the wrong thing or got upset he would know her true thought and feelings. Heck most could not ever begin to image what went threw this evil killers mind most of the time.” uhh well I just work odd jobs here and there for the most part. I do not really have much of an education to get a steady job you see. I do like what I do though I would not say it is my dream job it beats living on the streets I gusse. ” vixi said with a slight smile. She only told him half of the truth there. If he ever upset her she would not hesitate to attack him. Even if it was in a public place. After all she did not want to give him a chance to react. But for now vixi managed to keep her temper a bay but just barely. Anymore questions like that and he would find himself in a world of hurt.

Yep, he caught only the briefest and slightest glimpses of it but she wasn't happy with him asking that question. So she was probably lying about half of it, but which half. Didn't seem like the depressed or worn out type so she probably did at least slightly enjoy her job but was it what she said it was? Probably... it was a hard thing to admit to the imperfect education so she probably did do a bunch of odd jobs or something like that. "Very true I guess. Living on the streets isn't fun, I know a few people that have been stuck in that life."

After he swallowed a few more bites worth of his lunch Rod smiled. "Hey sometimes the steady job doesn't pay as well anyhow, and they're usually more of a pain to keep and to please a boss and everything. So long as you enjoy it great."

Except part of what she said didn't exactly sound right to Luke, and it wasn't the part that Maverick was having trouble with either. Better than living in the streets, yet she lived in the woods. Was that really better? Maybe less dangerous from people and thugs but not from wild animals. Sure there were ways to avoid them but sooner or later something big could come along and ruin all that. He only knew of one person in the area that could handle it and the rumors were because he knew one of the biggest "monsters" and was friends with it. So was she really better off or was she playing a game with them and finding the right time to lie?

Vixi could feel herself starting to relax a bit now. She could only hold back her killing nature for so long though. Hopefully she would be away from town when she finally snapped. That way by the time anyone found him they would be to late. Yes she had already deiced that he was going to be a problem if she did not kill him. He just struck her as a creature who could turn her in but convince her that he was not going to do that. Well vixi had new for him she was not going to let that happen. Unless she was left with no other choice. Even then she would rather be dead then go back to jail that was for certain. She had never had to live on the streets herself but if she ever did she would fit right in with all the thugs and killer she guessed. Strangely the reason vixi lived in the woods was for the peace a quiet. Something about that placed almost seemed to calm her inner killer. But the feeling never was enough to make it go away completely. Oh the life of a psychopath was indeed a lonely and shot one. But vixi loved every seconded of being insane. To her living in the woods meant that she could hide her flaws from the rest of the world. And she did have plenty of creatures to kill if anyone were to start looking for her or something. Vixi thought that she was much smarter then any beast that lived in the woods. If something were to come and try to kill her she would probably kill it first. If not then vixi would simply
move on to some other place and live there for a while. It was the perfect plan in her mind.

She now gave the boy a smile as he spoke. Well he did not complain about what she said but there was no doubt in her mind that he was not certain about it. Well he would be okay as long as he did not say anything about it. Because if he did make that mistake vixi would kill him more then likely. “ Hum yeah I can see that it would not be very fun to live like that.” vixi said to the middle head now with a smile. She then turned to the right head who had spoken next. “ hehe that is very true. Really I do not care as long as the job pays well and is not boring.” she smiled slightly again. Maybe this was the day that vixi actually decided not to kill him. But that was rather hard to image when she could hear her mind screaming just kill the brat and leave .

It didn't take Roderick long to finish off the chicken and start on the rest of the salad. He shouldn't rush eating his food but he didn't want the other two doing all the talking for him, they usually did their best to make him look bad in the process. And true sometimes he deserved it but other times not so much. The chance to hit on her was probably gone now, she could still be a pretty good friend though. As long as they got to hang out once in a while he was fine with it. "So any of the odd jobs happen around the school or usually just in town here? And if you ever need help with anything you can feel free to give us a call."

Maverick gave a mental sigh again. Yes it was a polite offer but if Rod had picked up on what he and Luke had noticed the right head would have dropped the whole subject of her and her work. Well hopefully he didn't get her mad, she probably did see him as the least observant of them, the most juvenile perhaps.

Vixi ate a few more bites of her salad as she listened to him ask his question. Well this one did not get the hint did he. She had to force herself to story calm. However she could not hide the dark look that came to her eye now. It was a warning to him that she was not going to be able to keep holding in her darker emotions for much longer. Soon this kid was going to find himself becoming her next victim. She just had to wait until they go away from town if she could . And judging from the feeling that she got it was going to be a hard task for her to do. Lucky for vixi she did not have a huge anger problem to begin with other wise he would be dead by now. Really though she was not mad . She merely could not control her killing nature. When she thought of a job killing came to mind and when that happened she felt a almost uncontrollable urge to kill come over her. So this was not anger more like giving drugs to someone who was addicted to them. Once they started again they got stronger by the second . And that was just what was happening with her. She now gave the boy a slight smile. She knew that the look in her eyes was still dark though. That was fine with her because if he did leave here she would not follow. No she would just find another victim. That is unless he made the mistake of calling the cops. Then she would hunt him down and kill him like a dog. “hehe they are in random places . Oh okay I will do that if I ever …. Need any help” she said with a smile. She could see that the right head was not as observant as the others. But that did not stop her from killing him now that he had gotten her darker nature stirred up. Though she was smart enough to know that she needed to wait until they were out of town to do so considering she had just killed some one here and might not get away from it the second time around for no one was that lucky.

Maverick could tell she was turning to a darker mood. He wasn't aware of how dark she could be but he had a few wild guesses. "Well, looks like lunch is almost over so we should probably be on our way soon right guys?"

"Yes, before I get any grease stains or the like on this book I'll be needing the rest of the semester. Would make it quite hard to pass a class if I can't see all the important pages anymore." Luke had sensed it in her voice and her expression, the need to get out of here. This was probably their last chance to avoid any problems, last chance to escape from her.

"Hey guys it's only polite to wait until she's done eating too. We're not in that much of a rush. Come on you two were bugging me about manners and everything, now you're the ones being impolite." Roderick wasn't concerned, he didn't think she was so bad. She'd tolerated the three of them so far, she didn't do anything bad yet, and she was pretty. How could he worry when so far there hadn't been a good reason to?

Vixi smiled as two of them seemed to catch on to her hint. Oh now he whishes to try to run from her? Well she would let him leave if he did so now. Of course though the third head still wanted to believe that the others were wrong about her. Well he was the one who was making a dreadful mistake. It was a mistake that could cost him his life. Unless of course he could talk his way out of it. But that was not a easy task for anyone to do when it came to a killer like herself. Her eyes kept the same dark glare to them as she watched his reaction. Yes this one would make a nice victim. Though vixi still got the nagging feeling that she should not hurt him. Blast she did not want to get soft in her job. Stupid emotions they were just too confusing for her right now. She smiled as she finished eating. She did not rush like he had though he did have a reason. Yes he had better run while he could . Though she knew that the third head would not let them do that if he could help it.



She now smiled at him trying to keep her darker thought away. It was not working to well for her though. Maybe she would just enlighten him. No, she could not do that for it would ruin her game and she did not want that to happen just yet. “you notice my dark looks don’t you kid? Well I do not like talking about certain things for they bring up bad feelings. But I do not expect you to believe me. The way I figure it is that you already made your judgment on me anyhow. So if you wish to leave do so I am not stopping you. Just know that if I were a bad person I would have hurt you when I first met you.” she said smiling now. She knew that he was uncomfortable now. So she figured that she might as well make it worse. Though there was the odd chance that her words could actually relax him. Though that one was really out there it could work. Either way he could be in trouble.

"Don't need to tell me twice. I'm ready to go. Come on guys let's get moving." Luke wasn't one to tempt fate normally. He knew they were getting a chance to bail and he wanted to take it. Of course he'd be looking over their shoulder the entire time they were on their way back to school but with two other heads he could easily afford to do just that.

Maverick couldn't agree more as they stood up. So she claimed she didn't want to hurt them, well that was possibly true or she might only mean it for one or two of the three. The remaining one or two she might want to hurt, so he wasn't about to hang around even if Roderick tried to make them. "Been a pleasure chatting and having lunch with you."

Roderick could feel himself being dragged along by the other two but while he heard the tone and saw her looks he figured she wasn't that bad. After all she was right, if she wanted to hurt them she could have done so at any given time. "My apologies if I brought up troubling memories. It's good to meet you and hope to see you again some time miss Vixi."
