Pen rubbed his claws across the table as he waited for the boy to decide. It did not really surprise him that the kid picked the one where he would not have to get up. Well this would be one of those times where that kind of thinking could cost him. For if pen did win he would never let the boy live it down. And he would not let his other have the chance to befriend him either. “ hehehe alright then that sounds fine. Hehe I assume that you know how to as well. That just makes this more of a challenge heheheheh. “ he said ending his statement with evil laughter. He then walked over to where the boys table now. He sat across form him so that he could get his arm in position as well. Yes indeed he did have those long sharp nails. It was actually odd he had such claws considering that he was a peafowl. But then again he was never a normal boy. He smiled now at the griffin now .” so are you ready to star our game now ? “ he asked. Of course he would use his claws as much as he could. He would not have to try that hard considering that he would be grabbing the others hand anyhow.

"Ready whenever you are Pen. I know how to play, and the rules. No excuses of any kind." Even those claws weren't enough to make him second guess his decision. After all he had his own talons... blunted talons but still. He could hold out for a minute or two of pain if he needed to, maybe impress the other side a little more that way. Besides he could always get it bandaged up, and at least that meant he knew where those claws were rather than finding them buried in his side or back. Aubri set his arm in place, flexing, opening and closing his hand to get ready. The sooner the better.

Pen smiled at the boy as he spoke again. He to was ready to get started with this compaction.” okay . Hehehe. The only one who will be making excuses would be you.” he said with a smile. He could hear his other side speaking now.” hay do not hurt him too badly pen. Even if he dose beat you” it said. Of course trying to reason with pen was easier said then done.” oh cool down fool I not going to hurt him too bad. I am just going to make certain that he dose not win.” he thought back .shaking his other side out of his head now he put his hand next to the other boys hand . Hum speaking of claws he could see that the little griffin had nails of his own. Sure they were blunt but they could hurt if he press hard enough. The thing was that pen was use to pain. The old couple , life on the street and his habit of fighting made certain of that fact that on top of the fact that he did not give up very easy either.“ so lets play the game already.” he was going to let Aubri start this game. That way he could not say that he was not ready. Even though he had said that he was before.

The gryphon only smiled and closed his hand around Pen's, trying to get a grip that would prevent him from digging his claws in too much right from the start. The sooner he could get him down the better. Of course if he lost, well Pen might be stronger than he looked. Aubri did have a bit of an advantage considering his size, but he didn't exercise as much as he should. "Ready? Three, two, one, go." And so the game was on, and he hoped being the one to count down would give him a little extra advantage.

Pen smiled as he felt the boy get a good grip on his hand. It would be hard to get a good grip without getting in the way of his claws. But pen was not going to use then for now. He gripped the boys hand tightly. As he did this the tips of his claws brushed the boys hand. That would tell him that he was going to be fair for right now. He also let his glasses slip down slightly reviling his dark blue eyes. If the boy saw them he would have seen a look of pure hate shining in them. That was the look that he always had in them. He took his free had and pushed them up slightly after a few seconds. Unlike the griffin the peacock was in very good shape. He always made sure that he was in top form to fight anyone in his path. Or beat them in a game as the case may be. He had considered that the griffin was larger then he was. That was why he did not just fight him in the first place. He heard the griffin ask if he was ready and count down. When he did this pen grinned gripping the boys hand tighter with those claws. There was no way that he would be able to resist hurting him. “ that should answer your question kid.” He whispered now.

Oh yeah, it answered his question. Aubri cringed a little at the claws but he put as much force as he could into trying to win the contest. The thought struck him though, if he did manage to slam Pen's hand down those claws might dig in even deeper... he'd have to win gently. And he was off to a decent start, not the greatest lead ever but he had a couple inches from the beginning. Now it was a matter of holding that lead and getting an even bigger one. From his experience it was almost impossible to come back and win if you were more than halfway down already.

Pen smiled at the boy when he felt him pushing hard against his hand now. Humm this boy certainly was strong. But that did not mean that pen was going to give up. He pushed harder against the boys hand tring to get some leverage now. He did not want to lose so quickly. As he pushed his claws sank a little deeper though he did not try to make them. Indeed slamming his hand down would push those claws in to the boys hand. He could feel his hand going down slightly. That just ticked him off. And the msdder he got the stronger he go to a point. She tried to force the boys hand down by using his streanth . Well at least this one was going to give him a run for his money so to speak.he just smiled evily and kept pushing. Even if he did lose it would only prove to him that he would have to shange his tactics. Become darker and more evil then he was. After all that was the only way for him to get respect threw fear.

"Damn, usually someone's already down by now." Aubri was impressed, for the kid's size he was definitely able to put up a good fight. Even though he started with the lead Pen was coming back strong and made things almost even again. It didn't help that those claws were a pretty good distraction, though he wasn't using them as much as he could. The gryphon smiled and let Pen take the lead for just a second before pressing back, this time he had to get him down or he'd probably just run out of steam and lose.

Pen smiled as he heard the boys words. Yes in deed that was usually the case. But most did not have to face an opponent like pen. As was stated before pen was stronger then he looked. Even if he lost this time it would just help him to prepare for the next challenge. Most just thought that pen was a big dumb bully. That was not the case. He had smarts as well as strength though he would admit that he was no genius. “ indeed they are. It is just that most are not strong like you. I am impressed for now.” said pen in a dark tone. Just because he was impressed himself did not mean that he liked the kid. He could feel his claws sink in when the boy let up for a second. He was kind of confused on why he did that. Then he felt the boy press hard against his hand. It was about that time that he heard something pop. He cringed as he felt pain in his hand now. Ouch yeah it was time to let the boy win. So he let up a bit and let his hand hit the table. That did drive his nails in. but pen was not worried about that. Though he did not show it he had to wonder though if his hand had gotten hurt or not.

Aubri was about to compliment Pen when he heard the pop sound and found himself winning. Not... exactly the way he had planned it but alright. "You were doing pretty good there, and I know you don't care if I ask how you are but I'll ask your other side if everything's alright." The gryphon smiled, taking his hand away and looking at all the cuts. Not too bad overall, could have been worse. At least he had some pretty durable hands. "So, you did lose fair."

Pen gave a glare as he put his hand in his lap as the boy spoke. Yeah his hand still hurt right now. In deed though he did loose fairly. “ Hum you are right I could care less about. So with that I will let you talk to my better half.” he said. He then let his other half come out again. Pension frowned slightly at the boy now. He felt bad about his other half coming out. But he really could not be blamed for what his other half did.. “ uhh sorry about pen.” he said. The good thing was that no one except him had gotten hurt. Then again he was always the one who paid the price for his other half’s actions.

"Nah it's okay. Sorry if I hurt your hand there, didn't mean to. Heh, he does call you his better half though, I find that kind of interesting." Considering he could have said his "good side" or his less dark side, or the weak one. "So what now? Does he usually stay away for a while or is he just giving you a few minutes before wanting to come back?" Good question, he wanted to get to know Pension and the more he knew about that other half the better. Even if it was a hard topic for him to discuss. "Need to go to the nurse or anything?"

Pension looked at the griffin now. His hand hurt quiet a lot right now. However he knew that his other half did not like doctors all that well. So in order to keep him happy he tried his best to deal with his own wounds.” yeah he did . He seems to say that a lot. To tell you the truth it is because he understands what he is. He knows he is a monster.” he said using his good hand to push his glasses up on his face. In deed the question that the boy asked was a good one. Pension paused for a second to think of a good answer. Sometimes his other half kept the deals that he made . But for the most part his other half was a liar who could not be trusted under any circumstances. “ well I guess he will stay away for right now. He will probably come back if he gets mad again.” pension said. It did not bother him to talk about his other half. He was just afraid he would come out and attack was all. “ no I think I will be okay. Uhh he did not hurt you to bad did he?” asked pension with a slight frown on his beak.

"Nah I'm fine." Aubri said with a smile and rubbing his hand. "Well whenever he does show up again at least I've got one win over him. And without causing you too much pain in the process I hope. So now that he's temporarily out of the question what's on your mind? Just hanging out here in the juice bar relaxing for a day or did you have plans?" Fair question, and they never got to that part of the conversation earlier... or maybe they did and he forgot already with all the excitement. Wow... that'd look stupid, and right after beating the other half.

Pension was glade to hear that the griffin was alright. He would have felt really bad if his other half had hurt the boy. The fact was he could see what his other half did but he could not stop it. Just like his other half knew what he was doing at all times. It was just that for the most part he could not care less what his other half was doing as long as it did not bother him. “ that is good. Well I was going down here for a drink then I was planning on either walking around the school for a while and exploring or finding something else to do.” he said. If the griffin had asked the question before then pension did not remember that either. even if he had he would not think any less of the kid for forgetting. “ uhh what about you kid ? You got any plans” he asked with a slight smile now. Pension never had been one to use names when talking to others.
