"Yeah, that's their right and left side, not the way you might look at them face to... er... faces?" Drake leaned over Ren's shoulder a little to look at the book. "Really? Heh, for a while that was one of the plays that we had to do every year because a certain staff member loved it. Sweeney Todd that is, and we've... now that I see it I think we did this one... oh geeze, years ago but it was pretty good. That doesn't mean much though, every few years with new students it's a whole different feel to the production."

Ren flipped through the book, it looked like it was typed on a type writer, this couldn't possibly be the original, maybe a hand made copy? It certainly looked like it could be.

"This play was hailed as an example of what musical theatre could be. Amazing, in my opinion." Ren stood and found the music in the back of the book, along with the lyrics and arrangements. He sang a few lines, as if to remember it.

"Ahh, I still love these songs." Ren chuckled and closed the book.

Drake smiled. "Impressive. The songs and your voice. With someone like you leading the productions I'm sure we'll have a great year. Now let's hope the students can match expectations or exceed them." What he'd love to see one day is the school team doing better than a broadway calibur show. "How many do you think we can do this year? If the students are good and we have the time." Resources wouldn't be a problem. Hell if Ren insisted they needed something Drake would probably be able to get it... barring any sort of weaponry. Fancy stage props, lifts, wires, all these things and more were easy to do though.

Ren smirked. "Better than Broadway? I wouldn't dare try to raise that much money. My shows will have to be rather minimalistic. I don't want my students working for hours on set design and building. We only have one group of students after all. Still, let's hope for the best." Ren flipped through the book, humming along the music. "We might be able to pump out two or three plays this year. Two big shows, and one smaller one. I'll accept auditions from the whole student population of course."

"Heh, well if you happen to need them you also have access to the staff for certain parts. If nobody can fill the role or if nobody wants to. Not that you'd need it with how many kids we've got but just in case. And two or three plays sounds great." It also meant more kids would get to play the lead role... unless they had a damn good actor at Golden Oaks. Of course anyone who could play multiple and totally different lead roles probably deserved to be on a higher level but that was just Drake's opinion. Ren probably knew a lot more about that stuff.
