"Well okay I guess when it comes to anything medical Drake's able to focus and do a great job. I think he really likes it more than he enjoys being a headmaster, fewer students, or patients, to worry about at once. If he screws up when he's doing all the headmaster work it can affect hundreds of people negatively. Friends, family, students, it could ruin their futures if he got in trouble with all those duties. In a hospital type setting it's only one or two at a time, sure it's life or death on occasion but still only a couple." The black dragon laughed at Rynn's reaction to the pills. "Heh, I hate them too and I'm lucky I rarely have to take any medicine. Rose says I'm going to live to regret it though, says I've put my body through hell all this time and when I get close to her age I'm going to be aching with every little movement, every breath if I don't pop a couple dozen pills a day."
So she had a conversation, albeit a small one, with someone else in the area? Huh, he got the feeling earlier he wasn't the first to stumble across her out here in the wilderness. "And I'm sure everyone's going to be thrilled to see you again too. Heh, there's always a soft bed waiting for you around here and I'm sure if you get a chance you'll meet that person again for a full conversation."

Somehow, Blake's words made her smile even when that smirk and fondness started to go away. True, everyone was always happy to see her, even those that feared for their lives in wanting to touch her, but was it admiration or something else when they looked at her? Sure the Drago family was more than happy to invite her in and such, but what did others see in her?
That was perhaps the only question, she would willingly admit to, that she refused to learn the answer to. No matter what she did it always caused attention towards her, even if it was protecting the kids because some idiot was bothering them because they were still too small to stand for themselves.
Oh well, some things, like this, were meant to be left alone. Mentally shrugging that off, she brought herself back to the present.
"Yeah, he can be a little loose at times, but his medical sense always seems to be pretty spot on for the most part. And Rose is right, you should at least take your calcium vitamin d and c once a day. It would help with that stiffness in the morning time that you usually get anyway."
The hybrid didn't have to read his mind to know his curiousity was peeked about who it was that came to visit her. Naturally, she wasn't going to tell and he probably wasn't going to find out until she was caught in the act.
"Yeah, have to admit, I am starting to miss getting tackle hugs from your kids at any given time or followed around by Inno all the time."

Blake had always wondered if that bothered Rynn, having Inno shadow her all the time trying to act exactly like her and look like her. Once in a while it had to bring up awkward comments about "daughter" or such. Which was kind of... funny in a way but he'd imagine it could be quite frustrating too. "Heh, don't worry they've kept in sharp practice by tackling me extra to make up for it. You'll be lucky to get past them without a broken bone, hehe. That's definitely not helping the whole avoiding wearing my body out though."

Truth be told in all honesty, instead of Inno being Blake's everyone swears up and down that Inno was Rynn's child. The way she talks, tries to act, they way she always followed her around without fail. It didn't bother Rynn any about the few comments she overheard about the child, but sometimes it felt like she had started taking something precious from her friend.
She hated to admit it, she liked how everyone thought Inno was her daughter, but felt bad at the same time as she was in all truth Blake's and that creatures..
"Oh I can believe it. Once they realize I've come back they'll be latched on for a good week or so before letting go."
She smirked, letting her voice grow warm instead of her usual demeanor of sharp fierceness edged into her voice.
"Want to know something funny?"

"Something funny? Sure." Blake was smiling. He never really considered Inno's following Rynn as being "stealing" her away. Heck it was a relief for him, he'd been scared the girls wouldn't have a strong female role model to look up to. And hanging around Rynn was better than hanging around Kr...er... yeah, her. He'd never really consider his past or his time with that person as a mistake but it did have a few difficulties. Originally he never thought he'd be good with the kids, it was thanks to his friends and their support he felt he could actually manage.

Rynn almost didn't want to say it, but in its own way it was quite funny. Especially seeing as Rynn had never showed the signs of becoming a parent and had remained her usual self... gaunt build and fur all over.. save a few places..
"Before I had left there were rumors flying around that Inno was my child, since, well, she'd always follow me around and whatnot."
A fond smirk had made its place upon Rynn's lips as she thought about it, not wanting to tell him that she had set those rumors straight before she had left in such haste.
"I don't know, sorry. I just found it amusing how they all thought that since I should have shown signs of expecting when I never really did..."
She half mumbled, looking around the cave as she suddenly realized it could actually be an uncomfortable subject in some ways.

"Heh, can't say I blame them. That's kinda cute really. Heheh, though I do have to wonder if they were starting to think you were her mom did they still think I was her dad?" He got that from time to time, but every night he was still the proudest father he could possibly be. "So you planning on staying out here tonight or coming back to the school? Um... did I already ask that? Heh, hope I'm not going senile already."

In more sense than just one, everyone here at the school had a right to believe that they were together. Considering all of the obvious detail that Rynn often slept in the same room as Blake, though seperate bed, she was always going in and out of his room, she was always together with his kids, sometimes alone with him.
Yeah, if something had meant to happen, it probably would have happened already. It had been awkward at first for her, she didn't know about him, but over the course of two months her awkwardness around him seemed to disappear and her duties to care for the children had kicked in.. much like a surrogate mother some would say.
"Yeah... there had been many inquiries as to exactly who Inno belonged to. Luckily, it seemed as if it started to dim down after they realized Inno was almost entirely dragon.."
She smirked, looking at Blake from across the fire, those astonishing sapphire eyes coming to life as the flames reflected and danced within them.
Secretly, there had been a time she would have liked something to come between her and him, but it had just been a phase. Just a passing phase. She still liked to tease him about things, but that awkwardness was almost completely gone when she was around him. In a way, he was just like another family member.
"Oh.. uh, yeah, heh. I was planning on coming back actually, but I didn't know if I would wake you and the kids upon my entering, it's kinda why I was relaxing at the falls, before you surfaced.. so to speak."
The hybrid spoke with a smirk.

"Heh, well that does considerably limit the options around here doesn't it? I mean, aside from me how many straight dragon males are there? Straight females, plenty, but males? Verdy's even a toss up on that category isn't he? Drake automatically fails, same with Heru. Yeah... that'd take care of any confusions." The black dragon grinned, knowing he was kind of out late but the kids had an early day tomorrow and they were all put to bed early to make up for it. Tomorrow was check-up day and Blake knew it'd end up being a hassle. "Heh, come on back anyway. Tomorrow's going to be a check-up for the little ones and you know how much they hate going to those. Of course with you back they'll all be too distracted by that to even notice if Drake has to give them a shot or something."

Yeah, it was almost hard to believe that there were so few straight males around here anymore. Rynn just supposed it had been a mere luck of chance that she even caught the eye of one in particular.
"Yeah, not too many that are straight that are willing to have kids here at the school."
She couldn't tell him the truth about Inno, even if she was going to die because she couldn't speak it. She knew who her real father as is the two boys' father. Yet she could not speak the truth about how she had put two and two together.
"It's alright though, all the more reason to be protective."
She smirked, pushing the truth to the back of her mind.
"I suppose I could, might be an easy check-up. Besides, I'm sure you'll be tired enough to want to sleep in when its time to get them ready. If I remember correctly, you always waited til the last minute to get up and go, even when you had classes."
She smirked, slowly getting up and walking towards her pack. Looking around and grabbing some things off the rocks, she folded them and put them inside of the pack.
Tail flickering back and forth, long fur swaying about as she looked around on top of the rocks against the wall.
"I think I have everything now.."
She kept her back turned towards Blake while looking around and putting stuff away in her pack.

"At least it's somewhat responsible of them, not having kids until they're ready. But the ones that do want to hook up with girls are way too persistent sometimes. It's definitely going to be good to see Inno able to handle them thanks to you." Blake laughed, nodding. "Okay okay, so I'm not exactly a morning person all the time. I didn't always wait until the last minute, usually the last five minutes. Just hope they don't want to give you too much trouble when we get back." He waited patiently and looked around the place, checking to see if she might have missed anything. "Alright, whenever you're ready. Heh, kids should be sound asleep still but if they do wake up I'm sure you'll have a huge welcome from them."

Smirking, the hybrid picked up her pack and looked at Blake.
"Five minutes? That's technically the same thing as being late."
She giggles, half snickering at his need to stay confident. It was alright she supposed, not like it would truly hurt to be late, especially since everything was within the protective walls of the school and none too far for the kids to wander.
"Oh well, at least I can say your an excellent father who really does try to keep everything in balance."
Rynn smiled softly at Blake, allowing her eyes to glimmer as the fire was starting to die down once again, but not into embers just yet.
"Well, lets get going so your baby sitter can get a break from them in the morning. Pretty sure whoever it is probably deserves it. If their awake, it'll be okay, just means I won't have to worry about bringing out the blanket then."
She giggled again, shouldering her pack. To Blake it probably looked fairly heavy, but to Rynn it was light as a feather.. Afterall, she had been carrying it around all this time.

"Thanks. And at least I do take care that their diets are appropriate for them. Especially Inno, considering her reactions to a few foods. The sitter was doing fine when I ran back earlier, kids were sound asleep. Heheh, but we know there's a really good chance the second you walk in even if we're the sneakiest people in the world those kids will somehow sense you, wake up, and tackle you." It was both a joke and the truth though, the kids always seemed to know exactly when she was coming and the best possible vantage points to tackle her from. Blake was actually surprised she hadn't gotten tired of it from the kids yet and still allowed it, considering if she ever set down a ground rule about no tackling without permission they'd more than likely follow it.

"That's good to hear. I have to admit, and this might sound bad of me, but I was concerned with leaving Inno in the care of others, considering her diet and breeding and all that. Being sensitive to meat meant substitution throughout every meal. It was why I didn't mind her following me around, I could keep an eye on her without having to worry that someone would give her something she wasn't supposed to have."
She walked to the entrance of the cave and waited for Blake before continuing.
"I guess that's me just being an overprotective guardian, or whatever, but I almost didn't want to go, even when Rose encouraged me when she saw I was losing weight from worrying more about her and the others."
Perhaps she was a worry wart, but hey, at least she was getting it out now before she had her own.

"Nah, makes perfect sense to me. Now if only Drake had a medical reason for why that happened. Asked him to check the normal things and the tests seemed negative. Maybe she's too young for it to be a positive result, I dunno. It's good she's got someone watching out for her and being overprotective. Just don't need you wearing yourself out so much this time, we all worried about you more than the kids at one point." Blake led the way out of the cave, stretching his wings and looking toward the school. This was her absolute last chance to change her mind. And at this point if she did it'd probably involve cracking him in the back of the head with something and running off.
