There would not have to be a worry about any of the gardners walking in on them, temporarily they were going to forget about their duties and anything involving the tools in the shed. That did not mean that one of the students could walk in, but she could get them to leave just as easily.
"I haven't really thought about it honestly. I know Blake is probably wondering where I ran off to, probably worried again since I don't have one of those annoying phones anymore."
Maybe she could introduce him to the kids officially... Or should she wait?
Last time she wanted to introduce another to the kids he flaked out and left the staff of the school. Rynn wanted to, especially since the worst he could do was move back to South America, where she could still go and drag him back from. Somehow Rynn doubted that he'd leave anytime soon, especially if he hadn't left during the year that she was gone.

Athan was unaware of just how strong Rynn could be, in more than just the physical sense. If she ever really wanted to, or changed her mind about the two of them having a relationship, she could probably force him to forget about all their times together and forget about her entirely. "I never really cared for those things either. Seems like a bother, if somebody needs to get in touch with you and it's that important then they can try to meet you face to face or they can wait for you to get back to a home number if you have one. Half these kids anymore don't even use them as phones, they use them for everything else."
Athan wasn't likely to be leaving, either her or the school. Sure he could always go back "home" to South America but only if Rynn ever tired of the US.

The truth was, no one could ever truly understand just how powerful a psychic could be.
Sure she could easily wipe out someone's mind, but not having a whole lot of experience doing that it would cause her to be extremely drained, especially if she intended someone to even forget she existed from their life. There had been many a time when the hybrid had wanted to wipe Diablo's and Ashlin's minds clean from her very existence, but that would have been taxing even for her body alone. Rynn would not be able to perform a complete wiping of the slate, not after having that surgery. Her heart would give out before she could even complete her task at hand.
"I know. I destroyed mine when I first left because I did not want to explain why I had to go. It was killing me to have to go, but it was killing me even more to stay."
She had once thought about leaving the US, going somewhere other than Ireland to escape everything. However, in Ireland she was wanted for a crime she committed, she was safe here as long as word did not reach the ears of those around here.
Stretching out lazily, feeling the strain and tension in her muscles and then the sweet release, the creature curled back up into a ball again and kept studying Athan's facial expressions. When she had been younger, her past time was to study everyone's facial features, guessing what they were thinking. She remembered the day she opened her mind completely and found herself hearing everything. Tell you what, she had been deranged for days from all the noise the once quiet world had. Sadly, Rynn had not been able to learn to block most of it out until she was on the plane ride here. Then rest, well, that was all history now.
"Athan, before you moved here, what was a past time of yours?"

"Oh, well, I used to like swimming a lot. I turned it into a bit of a hobby, diving for treasure. Along the rivers, at the bottoms of falls, even just off the coast from time to time. You'd be surprised what you can find when you're really looking for it. And it used to be fun to hang around in trees, wait for a friend to come by, drop a coil down around them and snatch them up into the trees. Or just lean down, tap them on the shoulder, disappear back into the canopy before they turn around. Freaked them out a lot, heh. What about you, any hobbies or anything you really liked before you came here?"

As she listened to him, she couldn't help but smile and give a soft chuckle or two.
Heck, if she was as big as he was, she'd probably do the same thing except doing it more to scare off trespassers instead of just for kicks.
"Well, I don't know really. It was always more of a job than a pass time..."
It was sad when she could think up some of the most intriguing specialty drinks and yet the one place she could express it all refused to hire her again.
It was fine though, she had more than enough of her own money saved up to live off luxuriously for the rest of her life.
"It's kind of why Drake put me in charge of the juice bar he has here at the school. I can make even the worst drinks taste superb with just a little experimentation."

"Heh, that kind of reminds me of Athos. He always said if something wasn't quite right he'd be able to make it right with a little tinkering. Heh, I'll have to stop by the juice bar more often then. Remind me of home, all the tropical blends around there. Still I always felt if you enjoy it then it's not really a job even if you're paid to do it. More like a really nice hobby I guess." Not that he was really an expert on the topic but it was the way he felt. Hm, the naga never really considered if they had any sorts of similarities or anything like that. He just assumed they were a good match.

"I might be able to make something for you then. I haven't one of flavors I wrote out yet, but you see if it reminds you of home or not."
Of course Rynn wouldn't be making the drinks by herself. It was one of the routines that the kids had fallen into with her in helping make and serve the drinks, especially Inno.
Naturally it was something for the kids to be able to do in helping their memory along with exercise and math.
What was odd though, Inno was almost just as good as Rynn was, big or small numbers it didn't matter.
It was kind of exciting but worrisome.

"I'll be more than happy to try it out. Of course, if you'll grant me a brief moment to act like some lovey dovey fool flatterer, I'll say that no matter what you might be able to whip up in the juice bar it'll never be as sweet as your lips." Yeah, he could do those cheezy lines like any other guy. Once in a while they didn't even have to be exaggerations. He didn't want to act like every other guy but Rynn did kind of deserve that compliment. He kept wondering how often they'd get days like this, how hard it might be to arrange a simple meeting, but no matter how much effort she was worth the time.

Blushing slightly under her fur, the feline hybrid began to want to deny him the satisfactory of complimenting her and such, but she stopped her own thoughts quickly.
"Why thank you Athan, that's the sweetest thing I've heard in quite sometime."
She gave him a playful wink as she moved closer to him and wrapped her arms around his neck.. giving a teasing kiss and nibble his neck and collarbone for a moment.
Of course it was true, most didn't give her a decent comment without some kind of crude intention behind it. And though she often disliked being complimented, finding some way to make out as an insult instead, this time around she couldn't make it into one. It really was a sweet thing to say even though it did kind of throw her off for a moment.

Sure, Rynn could always find a million things to flatter others with, could always find something to say that would get another so hot they could barely hold it together. But for now, she would take it in baby steps, try to get to know him without being a total pain in the process.
"Hmmm, I could eat you up.."
She whispered softly kissing him tenderly this time.

"Heh, sometimes I think you could mean that quite literally, but the same could be said for me too." Athan smiled, glad she had allowed the compliment without a sharp rebuttal or insult of some kind. He'd heard just how often she got those cheezy comments and how she hated it, good thing he managed to be the one exception. "So, random question for you, mostly because I don't think I have anything else on my mind other than you. Which of the Drago family is your favorite? I mean, Drake's nice and all, so's Blake, and Crimson, but it's hard for me to figure out which I like the most." Yes, eventually their day did have to include things other than what they'd been doing... eventually, not right now though. He was more than happy to have things continue just the way they were.

That was actually a tough little question. She liked all of them but it never really occurred which was her favorite. Sure she had met Drake first, that was an interesting day especially when she had finished most of his sentences and such. Crimson she met as an after fact of getting kicked out of her job the first time from fighting with the customers who couldn't keep their minds and mouths shut. Then there was Blake, whom she met when Crimson was having her kids, then later on helping him with his kids. Truthfully it was difficult to decide as they were all important to her in some way.
"Well, I don't really know. I mean, like you said, they're all really nice and stuff but... I think I'd have to go with Crimson being my favorite honestly. She's helped me with more than anyone could possibly know. I been through a lot with Blake and even more with Drake, but most of the things I normally wouldn't get by with I can today because of her."
She smiled a bit. Crimson was nice and, ever since the beginning, was always willing to help. One of the reasons she didn't mind babysitting was she felt that she needed to repay her for it all.

Athan listened happily, not only because he was interested but because every word she said sounded like sweet music. "I think I like her the most too, though I haven't exactly had a ton of time with any of them." He managed to avoid another cheezy comment, one was enough for now. He didn't honestly know too many staff members at the school or people in town. He'd done plenty of exploring but never slithered into any of the classes really, other than his cousin's. Athos was the only other person he knew.

"Pretty sure if you wanted to talk to Drake, he could probably let you help volunteer to help some of the other teachers or something, if I don't snatch you up first.."
She smirked, blocking herself from his mind to have a little thought to herself instead of invading his privacy his privacy at times. Perhaps she needed to stop doing that.
Somehow, all of a sudden, her ability was beginning to weigh heavily as it occurred to the hybrid that she used it all too often. Sure if was fantastic and exciting to others, but at times like now it was simply too much to deal with at a time.
Oh well. Not like it would leave her iff she stopped using it for a year or so.
Yawning and stretching, Rynn stretched out every single tense muscle that she had within her body, watning to ease some of the tension and soreness.

"You know that's probably going to be a real challenge for me Rynn. Especially since I want to spend as much time as I possibly can with you, without being smothering... heheh, well... I'll happily smother you with my coils and shower you with my affections but you know what I mean." Not too much attention all at once, even if they could both manage it there were bound to be times when all the love would just need to take a back seat to other matters. Hopefully not too often but he knew it was a fact. "Even if Drake does give me a real position, you're my first priority. Always will be from now on, if you need me I'm there for you. If you want me, heh, you hardly have to ask."

Sighing after a satisfying stretch with several popping noises accompaying it, she layed back down. As she listened to his words, she smiled softly.
"And you'll always be mine as well. Even if he doesn't give you a job here, I can always use extra help with Blake's kids."
She kept smiling, extending a claw to tickle at one of his coils.
Though she could easily learn just about everything of Athan or anybody for that matter, she tended more for the conversation and being able to learn even more from them than intended.
