"A true dragon? Aren't they usually pretty big? I guess an adolescent. Or just a smaller species of them, perhaps." Forsynthia looked over at him, more than a little incredulous. "Yes. And I thought I was the paranoid one!" The dragon stifled a yawn, then looked ahead once again. "Ah, we're almost halfway done." She wasn't doing too bad, though she was a little less fit than she'd thought before. Her breathing was coming a little faster and the back of her thighs had started to burn. But Verdy had always said he was weak, and had tried building muscle but never truly succeed...Now the name of it surfaced in her mind. It was called the duck walk, which seemed a rather silly label for something so physically demanding.

"Oh some of them I've heard can be smaller than me at their fully grown height. Guess it is a bit of a paranoid reaction though... but if it was a dragon you can never know how crafty they'll be. Anyway, I'm doing alright. Hope you are too, and glad we're almost out of here." And once they got out he'd give her a big hug, assuming the light outside didn't blind him for too long. Shame it was still kind of dark with her blocking the light, he'd actually enjoy getting a nice long look... even if he wasn't supposed to necessarily. "So what should we do when we're out of here?"

"Yes," she thought, looking ahead, "we are almost out. Two thirds, it looks like, to be precise." She took a moment in thought before she answered him, now audibly showing she was hurting through her breathy words. "Up to you, really. No ideas here. For now." Forsynthia noticed an argument in her mind, and decided to briefly tune in, as a distraction from the growing burn in her thighs.
"Look at me, look! Now listen. If Rythia here is starting to take a stronger position, be a little more dominant, protect herself, then it's change, and there's reason for it. I'm absolutely certain you will never be forgotten, and will probably always be relished, and you may even be reverted back to at a later date. Maybe in some sort of glorious, triumphant returns kind of thing. But you're simply moving back from fifty miles ahead of her. Can you decipher reason for once?" The crazy one looked over at the rational one, appearance mirrored in the other, same silver eyes, white scales, black accents...and it struck her that they were all the same being. She should atleast try not to fight with them all the time - or, more correctly, Rythia. She shook her head and growled, not wanting such a startling epiphany. But she couldn't deny it, and so she sighed and nodded her head. "Apparently so." For smiled slightly, then motioned her hand, telling the shadow to come out. Rythia came forward and kneeled next to the sitting Syn, then hesitantly laid a clawed paw on her shoulder. Syn flinched, but did not show anger or revulsion. Rythia stood, clasped her hand and pulled her up, patting her shoulder again before smiling and walking away. Syn stood, head hung down, and For just walked over and sat by her, waiting for her to sit again.
Forsynthia blinked, confronted by sharp late afternoon light, and she stumbled, the event within her head and the pain coming washing back doing her in. She sprawled onto the sparsely grassed hillside, the dirt dry against her right cheek and the grass brushing on her palm and the back of her other hand. The pain was a warm, pulsing sensation throughout the back of her legs, and she succumbed to it, the quicker to get it done with. After two minutes she breathed in sharply, then muttered something to Verdy. "I just need to rest," she said. The dragon had no room to spare for thinking about how long it had taken her to do something aside from lying there looking dead. Well, there had been the panting (not that audible though), noticeably moving her chest since she was so out of breath.

Oh how Verdy wished he could read minds. If he could just put himself into her thoughts, and see what seemed to distract or trouble her so often. He'd been getting used to noticing the signs, brief little moments where she appeared conscious yet unconscious, sleepwalking in a way. Little did he know how disturbed her thoughts could sometimes be, and that if he really could put himself in her mind like Krynn did once or twice with him, that darker persona would likely tear him apart regardless of the protest of the others.
He crawled quickly to her side when she collapsed, feeling a little worn out himself and knowing that the walking she just did probably took a lot more effort and energy. "It's ok, take as much time as you need." He said with a smile, glad she was moving a little and actually responding. The green dragon sat down next to her and gently rubbed her back, though he probably should have been rubbing her legs it was the thought that counted.

Sometimes it was a sort of sleepwalking, but sometimes she was fully aware of her surroundings. That was usually just her normal thoughts, though. Her thoughts consisted of the ramblings, rants, arguments and conversations of those three, and what came consciously to mind resulted from all of that. She could also tune in more specifically, obviously. Her wings twitched as she felt him rubbing her back. It felt good, and was certainly distracting, though the pain was starting to ebb away, just a little. Might have hurt for them to be massaged anyway. "Mmm," she breathed, then pushed herself off the ground a bit, pulling him gently towards the ground as she said almost sleepily, "Lay down I wanna cuddle." Rythia started blushing, and Syn looked up, her mouth happening, and she swallowed, relishing the coming tide of emotion. Two different ones between the two, though usually love did carry hints of lust. Why she was blushing, then. "We can just do that for a bit...I don't feel like getting up," she murmured, shoving gently at him and smiling.

Verdy turned from a green dragon to an almost red one as she pulled him down gently and said she wanted to cuddle. He was more than happy to lay down beside her, extremely nervous and shy but happy. "Sounds good to me. Heh, after all that walking around and exploring I don't really feel like going anywhere either." If you had asked the green dragon whether he'd ever think something like this could happen, much less from her, about a month ago he would have said no. Recently though he was happy to see her almost any time. Just not right in front of his boyfriend.

She curled her arms up to her chest and nudged her face up to his chest, near his neck. Syn poked lazily, but was ignored. "So...what do you want to do after this? Go higher up in the mountains?" She paused to scratch an itch on her chin, then smiled. "Requires wing effort, not leg. Might have to just rest at your place again, though. It's closer. That okay?" Forysnthia sighed and turned her head sideways, hearing his heartbeat. With anyone else, Syn would have been ripping and screaming through her mind by now. But she gently forced her back, letting out a contented breath against the fabric of his shirt. "Ah, by the way, what's with Frosk? You never really told me much about him, just that he was...there. You hinted at other things, kind of not on purpose, but still," she said, chuckling.

"Further up the mountain sounds fun, heh. Who knows maybe we can plant a little flag up there?" He had to think a second about the dragon. So she'd caught on about that? "Oh uh... yeah, him. Well, Frosk's not too bad really. I think he's just kind of bored, wants a challenge now and then. That, and I think he's kind of under control for now thanks to Crimson. Dunno how but she got him to leave last time he was making a scene." Actually he had a pretty good idea what it was. The green dragon suspected that Crimson's charm won him over, just like Forsynthia was winning him over.

"A flag?" she murmured, curious. "But how? Do you have materials?" Forsynthia thought about that. Taming the beast...her thoughts felt disconnected. She shook her head, then sat up. "Ok, I think I've rested enough. Are you good?" She paused a moment before slowly rising to her feet, offering her hand to pull him up. "I wonder how far we can go up before the air gets too thin to breathe. We're dragons so maybe it's easier for us, takes less time. I don't know. I was up pretty high this morning. Guess we'll just have to test it."
Sucky post, sorry D:

"I think I can manage to put something together really quick. Might not last forever but it'd still be kinda fun. Heh, and I'm ready whenever you are. I think climbing's a little less fitting but if we fly there's no guarantee we'd find a place to land higher up." He gladly took her hand and got back on his feet, stretching out and looking up toward the peak of the mountain they were on. It'd be a nice challenge, whether they flew or climbed.
